I watched the armed services bowl last night (part of it).

Why do they have bowl games in places where it's really cold? These games are something that's supposed to be a reward for the teams and a decent vacation destination for the fans.

There are plenty of warm weather locations for bowl games. There are also 10 indoor NFL stadiums and nice stadiums in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Why do they play a frigid game in Yankee Stadium when they could play the same game in Dodger Stadium, Angel Stadium, or Petco Park? For God's sake, there's an 18,000 seat stadium (more than enough for 1/2 of the bowl games) in Cancun where they could have a bowl game every 3 days and everyone could stay at inexpensive all inclusive resorts. You could play 6 bowl games in Vegas!
