So half the country is suffering from a MAJOR drought. Lakes and rivers out west are drying up. Yet, all we hear about is how sea levels are going to rise to such extreme levels that many coastlines will become uninhabitable. So we have too much water in one place and not enough in another. Are Desalination plants just out of the question? Seriously, I don't know the answer. I know enough that they are expensive and its an expensive process, but I have two thoughts on this.
1. It's water for Gods sake. We waste so much money in this country it's not even funny, yet we can't afford these plants?
2. I was in Aruba over the winter. They have one. ARUBA! Not saying Aruba is a poor country but it's still Aruba, not the frickin United States of America!
Discuss, I'd like to know why this isn't more on the table.
