I got a surprise trip to Mexico coming up. We are flying from the states to Cancun in mid Feb. 3 of the 4 of us have had the vaccine and we are wondering if it will be an issue having one unvaccinated traveler going into Mexico or coming back into the U.S.

From what I have found online everyone needs a negative covid test in order to come back into the states. The unvaxxed would need the negative covid test one day prior to travel but the vaccinated could have it done within 3 days. While the CDC says to get vaccinated prior to travel, it didn't appear that it was mandatory but simply a recommendation.

Anyone have any other info or feedback on recent experiences? We are flying on Delta.

Thanks
