As such, most of the names have turned down the offers and we'll likely be stuck with Mickey. Almost like a self-imposed handy-cap that'll be an excuse as to why we hired someone with no HC experience (and will likely end the season with only 2-3 wins). Almost like we don't want to win in football. Nebraska is not the place where the HC should be figuring out how to be a CEO or what to say at a presser. Maybe he becomes a great HC someday but can't understand the desire to take such a huge risk for an absolutely critical hire. There's currently no data suggesting he should be at the top of the list other than he's a Nebraska guy and is fiery. An emotional hire. I do hope he's part of the staff, but not the HC. Not yet.
