Anybody know the rule on the clock running at halftime? Series of events below.
1) Gretna gets a first down in the red zone.
2) Gretna spikes the ball. 20 seconds remaining.
3) On the “spike-play”, Westside gets called for 12 men on the field.
4) Gretna casually goes up to do first down again, post-penalty. Turns out the clock started running immediately after setting down the ball.
5) Confusion caused the snap to happen with 4 seconds left in the half, which was a dropped TD pass
I thought the clock would be stopped, depending on the teams (non-penalty-team) choice
