Back at Haymarket Park tonight for another midweek in-state battle as Nebraska (21-11-1, 7-2) comes off a three-game sweep of Northwestern and now faces Creighton (15-14, 3-3) in game two of the three-game season series. It was neck-in-neck in the first go around between both squads as Will Walsh retired 17 of the first 18 batters he faced in relief to hold a Husker lead, but the Bluejays rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off Nebraska 6-5 in Omaha back in March. Here's that recap:

Tonight it'll be LHP Kyle Perry (0-0, 4.97 ERA) vs. RHP Justin Kleinsorge (1-1, 5.16 ERA). Perry is coming off back-to-back scoreless outings including 2.1 shutdown innings against Northwestern in last Friday's series opener. He's been working to gain the trust back of the coaching staff and tonight is a big chance for him to earn some innings down the final stretch of the season. I overheard the pitching plan for Creighton and they plan to have Kleinsorge go through the order at least once before turning it over to Cade Lommel (0-6, 13.50 ERA) in the bullpen. Daniel Hammond (1-2, 5.59 ERA) and Tommy Steier (4-0, 4.91 ERA) are also expected to toss some innings. Here's the full series preview:
