It's another day of beautiful weather in the San Diego of the Big Ten. For the second time in the series, it will be warmer in Lincoln than Arlington, Texas at first pitch. The Huskers (1-5) take on the TCU Horned Frogs (5-1) in the final game of the series at 1 p.m. this afternoon.
The Huskers got a much better starting pitching performance from Kyle Perry on Friday as he struck out eight batters in just over four innings. But, Nebraska couldn't take advantage on the offensive end as they left 10 runners on base. On Saturday, the starting pitching woes continued. The only offense for the Huskers came on the first two homeruns of the season in the 8-3 defeat. The most alarming number of the weekend has been strikeouts. 13 went down on strikes on Friday and 12 Saturday.
