Nebraska baseball (1-6) is back in Arlington, Texas for a four-game series against Northwestern State (3-5) and UT Arlington (2-5). First up, the Huskers take on Northwestern State on Friday at 11 a.m. at Clay Gould Ball Park at the University of Texas at Arlington. The game will be broadcasted on Huskers Radio Network but is not on a streaming service.
RHP Koty Frank will get the ball in the first game of the day as the Huskers have struggled to get their starters to battle deep into the game. LHP Cal Carver, who grew up in Lincoln, Neb. until he was 10 years old, will start for the Demon.
Head Coach Will Bolt will not be coaching the game as he was ejected at the end of Nebraska's last game against TCU after a controversial call that ended the game. Assistant coach Lance Harvell will be coaching the Huskers in the first game of the series.
The Huskers have started the season slow after being projected to win the Big Ten Conference. They dropped three games to TCU and another three in their opening series against Sam Houston.
Nebraska plays UT Arlington in the second game of the doubleheader on Friday which will start roughly around 3 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader has the same schedule with Northwestern State at 11 a.m. and UT Arlington at roughly 3 p.m.
