He has some ridiculous quotes already in his Nebraska tenure, mostly surrounding his confidence in Jeff Sims. “He’s an NFL guy” is up there as one of the dumbest things I’ve heard a Husker HC say. But this one may take the cake.
Nebraska found out it can “win” with two QBs? One of those QBs has only shown his ability to lose games; quite literally throw them away. You know, the one who is 0-2 as a starter with 8 turnovers in 7 quarters?
Is this just coach speak trying to instill confidence in Sims? Or is he really this dense. If we win football games with Sims under center, it will have little to do with his impact on the game and more to do with limiting his impact in the negative column.
