I agree, I thought we were in for multiple conference championships in baseball. Haven't got one yet. ARGH. But the plus side is, the B1G can thank Nebraska for it's improved image in baseball. Nobody in the conference cared about baseball before NU joined the conference.

Really? Nebraska has certainly had an impact but Purdue hosting in 2012 and Indiana in 2013 and 2014 have much more to do with the league's image than Nebraska simply stepping into the conference.

Erstad pushed for the Big Ten to schedule a tougher OOC and provided a much needed spark, I've watched college baseball for years and unfortunately the Big Ten was in a major funk when Nebraska joined. Now each university gets their credit for rising but while coaches like Anderson from Minny handicapped the league guys like Erstad pushed for competing and selling the Big Ten brand. Yes Purdue had a good year in 2012 but it wasn't sustainable, which is the whole point to the mentality the conference had at one point.

ok so in those 3 years that you mention, what ither B1G teams were even close to being relevant? And the 10 years vefore Nebraska joining the conference, what teams were relevant? It takes much more than 1 team in the conference per year that is good to become relevant. Now you have 6--8 teams that are having very good seasons and how many of the schools have improved facilities since Nebraska joining? This conference likes competition for their championships. it wouldnt sit well with many of these schools to have 1 or 2 schools win the conference title every year.
