Well, I’m in the field. The vaccine doesn’t prevent you from getting covid. Just decreases your chance of getting really sick from it. There are many studies in the leading peer reviewed medical journals showing that. And that was my experience taking care of those folks.. Personally, I would have preferred to have not watched all those unvaccinated elderly folks get sicker and sicker despite everything we tried and go on to die. I have been taking care of very sick fols for over 30 years and have never seen anything like it.

But the question is why vaccinate a 20 year old athlete? The first round of COVID shots were a positive and reduced the death rate in old people. NO BOOSTERS are needed in anyone IMO at all at this point - and now very few people are boosting and I do not believe that family docs are recommending it either. I am a health professional. Sending a signal to all of your organs cells to make an antigen that is attacked by your body just sets you up for autoimmune disease IMO.

Expert scientists not involved in the research reviewing the methods, data, interpretation of results, and the conclusions and recommendations of a study before it can be published.

Um no. My views are shaped by other medical professionals and 40 years of working in an epidemiology involved field AND a doctorate in a medical field. I’ve been reading scientific articles and attending meetings on vaccines and drugs for 4 decades.
I’ve asked a couple of times - but with the experience you continue to proclaim, how many boosters would it take to get an ideal efficacy rate?
What annoyed me most about the pandemic (other than the complete loss of independent thought) is that we had many talking heads spouting their credentials to try and get everyone vax’d but there was no basis for the overload of confidence. There was no division between ages and health and it was a one-size fits-all approach which would never be practiced in general health for other ailments. Then as we sit here 2 years later some of the folks with all these credentials still won’t admit they were wrong or could have done something different because their pride gets in the way.
The way people who didn’t get the jab were treated during this time was undeserved and it was driven by people who said they knew better and didn’t.

While I appreciate your expertise on the matter, how many of the medical professionals raised doubts or questions about the way we were recommending an unproven “vaccine” for healthy young people especially kids?

Reality is that the medical experts and establishment have more or less destroyed their credibility over the past three years. So have pretty much every societal institution. Self inflicted wounds that have discredited many experts who are sincerely trying to do the right thing.
Arguments from authority hold way less weight then they ever have. That is very unfortunate because society will not run well if there are not experts that are trusted by the majority of people. Yet here we are.

You could go ahead and look at the subsequent studies of the original vaccines in other age groups, and the other vaccines, including studies about incidence of myocarditis and other side effects in vaccinees vs. reported rates in people who get covid infections w/o vaccination here:
That link has approx 100 articles of studies just in the most cited medical journal, there's lots of studies in other medical journals as well.
Again, you can believe what you want. My argument is that the conspiracy for all of this stuff would have to be huge involving thousands of physicians and scientists at multiple institutions, the CDC, the NIH, and many other public and private institutions. I think it's more likely that a few guys on a blog are wrong when they say all of this stuff is BS, than that all those scientists, health care workers like myself, government and NGO's are wrong.
Thanks. I will take a look. As I mentioned in my previous post, I think the credibility of the medical journals have been greatly compromised. Even the editor of one of the leading publications (can't remember which one right now) admitted years ago that half the studies that get published are either wrong or outright fraudulent.
It really is a tragedy for society that so many no longer trust these publications and experts. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for people such as yourself and Dingle who are in the medical field. You may want to blame the so-called social media doctors and scientists for the loss of trust, but the establishment has noone but itself to blame. From the asinine policies, the censorship, the canceling of contrary voices, the refusal to debate the science, and on and on, the powers that be made this bed and now they and, unfortunately, many health professionals who didn't actively participate in the insanity have to sleep in it.

I suppose I just disagree that society cannot function without "trusted experts", especially when they've largely been proven to be full of it and/or bought/paid for under even the faintest of microscopes
