Zach Schlager commits to Colorado State

Congrats to Zach! He was just starting to pick up some non Power-5 offers. I think I read somewhere his brother went to CSU. Best of luck to him if he sticks it out until NSD.

I have to say, though, it stinks this class is going to be small. A Nebraska Class B kid from McCook going D1 is pretty rare. My hope is that Bray and Wilhite aren't done recruiting him. Anyone know if he was given a preferred walk-on spot?

Im sure the staff was watching him and he is def. a prefer walk on at the least. Brother starts at safety for CSU. Like you said small class but you never know....i do know that his test numbers are freak.

There is no doubt he had a preferred walk on spot. But I don't blame him for taking the free education at a fun school, in a sweet town, plays with his brother, not far from home. I would have done the same thing

FWIW I'd love him here. His athleticism is off the charts. I'm honestly surprised KSU didn't offer.
