You can't fix incompetence (aka 'stupid')

From the beginning there were screaming red flags that this staff didn't have the 'right stuff'.
BYU/Illinois/Purdue---for me I lost hope after the Illinois game. Just complete incompetence in how to finish out a game.

It feels like Callahan all over again without the top 10 recruiting classes. These coaches just don't know how to build a winning culture/mindset in a college program.
Simple example:
How often do we have a '2nd and 3' and pass/pass? It's a pro mentality that says gaining 3 yards is really hard and we need to pass to move the chains. Good, mentally tough programs shove the ball down the other team's throats more often than not on 2nd&3, then set them up with play action.

Compare that to DL calling for play action on 4th and 7---it just makes NO SENSE.

Is there no one at NU capable of hiring competent coaches/leaders anymore? Reading SE's quotes today, it sounds like he's trying to read right out of a "inspirational quotes book for dummies'. In the name of God, stop hiring coaches/ADs who are being run of town by their current employers...........
