seems in most of the rankings right now that the loss of Wilson and the addition of Grim make it a wash in the overall rankings. But is the position difference meaningful one way or the other? To me I see it as a net gain because of the number of 3 WR sets and that we have a lot of young talented QB already. Thoughts?

Vital as this offense is developing here. I just think QB recruits can be overrated and it matters more the system they are in for fit.
I don't worry too much about the biased and preset minds, been married over 10+ years and I enjoy politics as well.
For the defense I do hope we can get two DE that can go get the QB. Honestly, just want to see the class full out with some elite level athleticism at every position possible.

I rarely jump on the QB hype train, but I'm not sure we need one. I think O'Brien is going to start from game one in 2017.

Needless to say I think Nebraska already has an elite QB and if he plays the way I think, the Huskers will rival Ohio State for most explosive offense in the Big Ten.
From what I've heard, and it is in no way definitive or certain, the thinking is that with O Brien pretty much killing it so far his senior year and an early enroll in the spring we probably won't go after another QB this year.
Do tell... what are the facts and history you are talking about? It is hard to argue if you don't mention them... By putting it out on the table it opens the door for discussion.
You are probably right. The 6 scholarship QB thing is a little misleading though. Fyfe's is a yearly deal I believe and I'm not sure we'll ever see Darlington take a snap in a game.
I would respectfully disagree regarding Darlington, since he played in the spring game. I know he was protected, but why keep him on scholarship if he is never going to play? Can't he go on medical or something? Or do you think he will take a blow in practice that will be the last one?

He WAS in fact protected to some degree in the spring game. I just know that IF he were my son, I probably wouldn't want him playing anymore. It just seems strange that I have heard some pretty glowing practice stuff about him and he played lights out in the spring game and then poof he's 4th string. I just wonder if the powers that be don't want the liability of him taking a hit in a game. No inside info on this one.....yet.
