C.B. gets a bad rap IMO...when I was 19, they still allowed you to buy alcohol, so guess where we went several times a week? They had the first brick and mortar porn store I ever saw....my first GF was a cheerleader at TJ.....

Having lived in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Ames, Sioux City and Bettendorf I can confidently say that the ‘biggest loser’ in this contest is SC without a doubt.

Carter Lake is probably the best place to live in Iowa.
Because it's easy to pretend you don't.
Spearmint Rhino is the only reason I know Carter Lake is in NE but considered Iowa on the way to the airport. Weird.
We should take it away from Iowa. On our side of the river or charge them to cross over
Bobs recreation in Belleville Ks, there used to be an A frame liquid store and the old guy who ran it must not cared he sold us hard liquor at 18
I was just going to say Keokuk. That place can give Sioux City a run for its money. But the worst, hands down, is Fairfield. A high percentage in that town are in some weird religion or in a cult.
It's not a town and not in Iowa but that Amazonia area in Missouri is just plane a scary place.
It's where the Rulo cult hung out. Demonic.
A friend of mine who was on call to such areas told me he was there late at night and was terribly spooked out. Could hear chanting and such back in the trees.
The original Rulo cult are all rightfully in prison (they did horrible, unspeakable things) but some of 'the family' may still be there.
There is an exit on the Interstate for Amazonia, floor past it. It's the twilight zone.
