Sad NU with 2 top 5 worse coaching hires in back to back coaching stints. What a hole the admin dug for this programNot to defend Riley but he did have a 9-4 season here and also a Bowl win over UCLA.
WTF did Frost do here?
Exactly. Rhule has to flush a decade of loser coaches and loser team mentality.Sad NU with 2 top 5 worse coaching hires in back to back coaching stints. What a hole the admin dug for this program
Painfully have to agree with this and I agree that Riley is ahead of SF despite having a worse winning pct. Like I’ve mention thousands of times that Eichorst was the worst AD Nebraska has ever had..Nice to see Nebraska so well represented.![]()
Which IMO is why Frost was a bigger failure. He had the state, the fans, the media, the former players and The Moos A.D. behind him. And he still shit the bed.Painfully have to agree with this and I agree that Riley is ahead of SF despite having a worse winning pct. 90% of the fan base thought that SF was going to be a home run.
Treated the position like reliving frat days. What a disgraceWhich IMO is why Frost was a bigger failure. He had the state, the fans, the media, the former players and The Moos A.D. behind him. And he still shit the bed.
If Bo had any kind of personality and didn't argue with the fans, media and everyone else that might have bought him some more time here. But he wouldn't last in this new CFB portal and NIL craziness. Let's hope Rhule can put it all together and get NU football back on the right track.Callahan

4 coaches sad to see BP with only any inkling of success. What an absolute terrible 2 decades of football.
I thought being a pervert was a prerequisite to being a coach or a gymnastics doctor at MSU.Frost is too low. Mel Tucker might have been an idiot pervert, but he also had a 11-2 record his second season, was 20-14 overall at MSU, and recruited well. He was a much better hire for MSU than Frost was for us.

Oh, Bo definitely had a personality... 🤣If Bo had any kind of personality and didn't argue with the fans, media and everyone else that might have bought him some more time here. I was the biggest Bo fan when he first got here and then couldn't wait to see him leave. Nice guy Riley was a breath of fresh air... for awhile.
Frost should be #1 on that list. Walters was straight shit at Purdue but 8 out of 10 coaches look like shit coaching there. What Frost did at Nebraska is failure on a legendary level. That tard had every resource possible laid at his feet and he couldn’t even make 1 fvcking bowl game in 5 years. Frost at 5? Did Matt Davison make this list?
Don’t know how you in the world could put Callahan and BP hires worse than Riley and SF.Callahan

I believe that Mark "Bo" Pelini single handedly divided Husker Nation into a me vs you warfare. If Bo had any kind of personality and didn't argue with the fans, media and everyone else that might have bought him some more time here. Can you not read in context? Is it a struggle? I know you are old. Just making a general statement of the previous 4 coaches and mentioned BP having the most success. A general statement of a terrible 2 decades of NU football. Where did I say or compare worse coaches. Sorry to hurt your brainDon’t know how you in the world could put Callahan and BP hires worse than Riley and SF.
Obviously. All flawed. Leading to 2 decades of mediocre to terrible football. All were flawed head coaches but their order from best to worst is pretty simple…
1. Pelini
2. Riley
3. Callahan
4. Frost
Could flip 2 and 3. Doesn’t really matter that much to me. But Pelini was clearly the best and Frost was clearly the worst. Callahan and Riley are kinda toss ups IMO…
I really don’t think 8/10 coaches fail at Purdue; 4/5 maybe, but not 8/10 😉.Frost should be #1 on that list. Walters was straight shit at Purdue but 8 out of 10 coaches look like shit coaching there. There is nothing flawed about Nebraska football, she failed to defend 3 national championships in 5 years but is still a brand that sells with seats in the stands and advertising dollars. We also have a HC and staff from cafeteria to the field developing players in todays college football that has evolved into the NFL.Obviously. All flawed. Leading to 2 decades of mediocre to terrible football.
Oh boy. Let me explain sloooooowly. All the coaches were flawed as well as the admin. That what out NU in this situation not the brand. Guess I figured that was obvious. I thinks it’s possible Riley would have won 6-7 games had he not knuckled under and fired Banker.Walters 1 and Frost 2 sounds about right
Hard for me to judge Riley considering he had Eichworst meddling in his affairs every step of the way
Thread was about being worst in the B1G , you posted better to worse with Nebraska’s 4 hires. that is how I read you’re content. Can you not read in context? Is it a struggle? I know you are old. You need to read the title of the list. It isnt worst coaches. Its worst hires. Mike R was a far worse hire than frost. Frost made sense and was coming off a huge season at UCF and broufht them up fast. Mike R had never done anything in his career and was a grandma who was handed the keys to a blue blood. Easily the worst hire ever.I honestly can’t understand anyone (like this list) who thinks Frost was better than Riley? Why do some people want to pretend Frost was better? Maybe because Frost is still coaching? IDK? But it’s not even close. Frost had instant and overwhelming support from go, he had more time, he got paid more and he still couldn’t make 1 fvcking bowl game.
I'd put Callahan above Riley for the simple fact that he recruited very well and had a year where Nebraska went to the conference champ game. All were flawed head coaches but their order from best to worst is pretty simple…
1. Pelini

Frost might have ended up a worse coach here but he was a far better hire.
Callahan wasn’t a worse hire over Riley for crying out loud.🤨I'd put Callahan above Riley for the simple fact that he recruited very well and had a year where Nebraska went to the conference champ game.
I think Riley was an overreaction to the embarrassment Pelini's temper caused. The University wanted someone with a temperament more like T.O. Unfortunately what they hired us was mediocrity with sprinkles on top, hip, hip hooray!Scott Frost ended up being a bad hire but he just won coach of the year and went undefeated with UCF. At least the hire made sense at the time. Riley was a weird one.
I agree. Callahan above Riley.Callahan wasn’t a worse hire over Riley for crying out loud.🤨
90% or more of the entire sports world thought SF would be great at Nebraska.Painfully have to agree with this and I agree that Riley is ahead of SF despite having a worse winning pct. Like I’ve mention thousands of times that Eichorst was the worst AD Nebraska has ever had..

Ok, the article posted is "worst hires" not "worst coaches". Please understand you are the one "looking at it that way if one chooses to". I'm trying to help you understand. Riley was easily a worse hire. Such a n awful hire it sill pisses me off, no way was that going to work and anyone who thought so was lying to themselves.I mean, I guess you can look at that way if one chooses to. But the simple reality is the worst coach is/was the worst hire. Doesn’t matter what the perception of the hire is at that time, the results indicate it was the worst hire. And almost everyone ITT seemingly agrees Frost was the worst.
But, but, but the resources...Ok, the article posted is "worst hires" not "worst coaches". Please understand you are the one "looking at it that way if one chooses to".
