Time to bite your nails, everybody... I don't think this coaching staff has a plan at all! 9th in the B1G? Yikes!!!

Sarcasm aside, yes these coaches absolutely needs to finish strong. They are limping to the finish line for sure. But they are still in on some big talent, and will finish no worse than 4th in the B1G in my opinion.

I don't know why it's fashionable to post where we are now without recognizing average star rating and number of recruits and such... only way we stay at #9 is if we don't add any more recruits. And if that is the case, we drop even further. But that won't happen.

I'm not disagreeing with your overall premise but 4th is probably the highest you can finish unless you land every single one of your top targets and PSU goes 0fer down the stretch (tOSU and umich aren't really catchable and neither are done).

Maryland (current #4) has actually had quite a good recruiting year (considering the state of the program) but looks to be about done and will drop. RU will add some players but nobody note worthy (they actually lost an instate 4* to Maryland yesterday) and they always seem to get one or two of the higher rated guys poached near the end...so they too are passable. MSU is in a tough spot because instate recruiting is literally done as all the top end instate talent has committed (with no real rumors of kids looking around at the moment) and Ohio is a bit down on prep talent this year (and of course 3-9 doesn't help)...maybe they pull a rabbit out of their hats but I wouldn't hold my breath.

So looking at class numbers it looks like you and Wisky are positioned rise and fight for that #4 spot. I know next to nothing about Wisky recruiting but in general NU tends to close better...so imo a prediction of a #4 finish is reasonable...who do you guys have left on your board that you feel good about?

We look like we'll be able to land Jamire Calvin next Saturday, but I just wrote a post about the other top targets plus any other rumors going around. I agree too that the best we'll finish is 4th unless something drastic changes.
