Anyone know what sections Husker fan's will be in yet or do any of you have tickets already? I have not been but have family relocated there so making the trip. How bad are their fans from those of you who have gone? Normal away fans or Colorado type.

TIA

I went and we sat in the endzone but it did not seem like we were in a Husker section. The fans were great, the town is fun. I have been to 4-5 away games and never had one single fan say anything rude or act rude at all. I think some people go to away games and look to be offended.

I agree!! Most fans are amazing and fun. But there is one BIG exception: Penn State fans. Man they are awful. I live out here and go to many PSU games with a buddy who is a huge PSU fan and takes an RV to the games. I go because it is fun. But their fans are truly awful

I was there but did not sit in the Husker Section. It appeared to me that the official Husker Visitor Section was Section AA in the upper deck of the South-West End Zone corner. We did not have any problems with the Badger Fans, but we were ask a couple of times if any Badger Fans had given us problems. Remember, by the end of the game the weather was miserably cold and snowing, and I believe that helped elevate any problems that may have happened.

Was there 5 years ago for the inaugural Big 10 game for the Huskers and as long as you don't seat near or in the student section you should be fine.

My father and I sat in the opposite end zone with other Husker fans and we had great seats no problem with the Badger fans around us but they will let you know this is Badger country.

Generally visiting fans sit in the corners of the upper deck or in the front rows of sections W and X. Not really a bad seat in the stadium though, especially since the sun should be set around kickoff. It should be a great atmosphere. I have probably been to 15-20 games over the last ten years and have not personally witnessed any visiting fans being treated poorly, but I'm sure it happens to an extent based on the amount of alcohol consumed at Wisconsin home games lol.

Many fans, when they go visit another campus, love to feel offended. They walk by a group of Badger fans and the fans yell "Go BADGERS" and all of a sudden visiting fan is "offended"

Yeah definitely not looking for trouble just had some Florida Ohio St fans tell me that Wisconsin is nasty. Then again their reputations aren't the best as well.

I survived a decade of Boulder just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything out of the normal.

If you walk down frat row, bars etc your asking for it anywhere.

Appreciate it on the X/W info

Meh. I live in Madison, and I know for a fact that the fans may be a little less hospitable if the outcome of the game is in the Husker's favor. Just throwing that out there.

But Madison kicks ass on game day-no doubt.

Possibly… I have been to numerous road games in the Big Ten and I go to as many bars I can when we are there and no one said a thing. But it does seem like we always lose so that might play a part of it

Any good bars where you will see husker fans swarm to?

Agreed I didn't pay for a drink after the OSU loss few years ago they felt so bad for us with our best down they bought us all drinks. Sometimes it works in our favor;)

Ummm....just want to say they like to talk trash (aided by a heavy amount of booze). Us getting our butts handed to us the last few times certainly didn't help. I personally witnessed young Badger fans spitting on an elderly husker couple at the first matchup there...that's probably the worst fan behavior that I've ever witnessed at any sporting event in my life (spitting on someone is one of the lowest degrading things a human can do). Madtown is a crazy cool town, awesome campus, & fun people. They just have a lot of pride and are a bit more vocal (jackass) about it. If you think college kids party here, you really won't know what to make of Madison as it's a real party school...
