Have not seen a prediction thread yet and I am bored so thought I would start one. Wisconsin’s defense scares me. If they can hold Oregon to 16 then can hold us to … shit … almost nothing. Fortunately their offense is almost as bad as ours. Game is also in Lincoln.

Something in my gut says we win.
But my gut is wrong I think.
Wisconsin 24
NU 6

I think this will be ugly like the Purdue and Rutgers games where both will struggle to score and could be 3-0 at half. I’m wondering what they will be able to throw at us in the passing game to keep our defense off balance. Our defense is atrocious against any sort of play action or RPOs. Offense will continue to struggle but may show a glimpse of hope with a big play or two.

Wisconsin 17

Nebraska 13

If their putrid offense scores 24 on us at home, White should pack his bags.

We win it, by squeezing out a 3 from 46 yards out with less than 30 seconds left. Of course UW still manages to reach our 45 yd line in the closing seconds but their Hail Mary is intercepted by… Malcom Hartzog. Huskers 20-17.

For people expecting NU to score in the 20s, good luck with that. Wicy's pass defense is #8 nationally, but their rush defense is #88. You do the math. Their strength is NU's weakness, and their weakness is NU's unknown and unproved commodity. If DH can conjure up more than 10 points I will be amazed. This will be an ugly game to watch. My head says a win, and my stomped-on multiple times balls say a blowout loss.

10-7 DONU in a very low scoring defensive slugfest and if anyone actually thinks, they're O is gonna fair any better against us than they did against Oregon is out of their ever lovin' minds as 1 advantage our D has over Oregon's is our DL and just like the prediction I made against tOSU The Blackshirts DL is gonna wreck their OL and ultimately wreck their entire offense which they did holding them to season lows across the board in almost every offensive catagory in their house.

Wisconsin is slow as molasses offensively and their OL is weak. People seem to forget, this isn't the Sconnie offense or OL that's beaten us and few years kicked the living shit out of us, This years sqaud isn't even in the same galaxy as those teams from the past decade. Offensively they aren't even close to being in the same league as the tOSU team we defensively beat down and wrecked in Columbus this year in a game that was ours and got fk'd out of. We will sack Loche between 5-7 times and they won't even get 100 yards in rushing. Now what I'm gonna say is this, whoever has a lead will win this game.

The Blackshirts have been far from the problem this year as it's all been on the offense as all they've done is shit all over themselves all year long. Our losses this year have been due to all mental breakdowns, can we get over that hump this game? Without those mental errors we're sitting at 9-1 right now instead of 5-5 thinking about the CFP not worrying about making a bowl game as the Illinois, tOSU, UCLA and USC games were all ours and shit them down the drain. These losses as I've said has have all all come from the mental side NOT lack of talent as we have a bunch of it. Another factor is, they're playing away from Camp Randall and coming off a very emotionally draining game at home against the Ducks. Wisconsin is also not a good enough team to bounce back from that kind of adraining game like that either.

That would be the best OC/DC duo we have had since? And you don't think John Butler is an "actual football coach"?
probably since Beck/Pelini.

I don't think anyone can properly judge Butler during his time here considering how he came onboard.

burying Wright on the depth chart after coming in with fresh eyes was an interesting choice. the rest don't exactly inspire confidence, although they're playing out of position (Hartzog) or physically limited (Buford, Gifford).

we need a fairly considerable talent influx in the secondary, whether through development (coaching) or acquisition (recruiting/portal). will be interesting to see how he does.

Whichever team more effectively runs the football will win the game. Since my confidence in Nebraska doing that is zero, I'll say:

UW - 24
NU - 17

21-17 bad guys.

I will adjust my opinion on our capability to win games if I'm wrong. Hopefully the boys take another step with DH.
