THAT'S one of the reasons we were who we were. NO reason THIS has gone backwards.

Say that to Christian peters or Aaron TaylorThey are a little stricter on steroids these days.

Here is my report. I worked at High School Powerlifting meet this past weekend. I help with the clean but watched a HS kid squat 610 in the heavy division. I was impressed although I know that is about half of most on this board can do.
Not at all. We just had our old Lawyer/AD cripple us with policies, we are back to injecting with the rest of them. They are a little stricter on steroids these days.
I can tell you that here in Texas they start kids out young in Powerlifting and what I'd call extreme conditioning... The work my boy puts in as a 7th grader is unbelievable. They've also teamed up with a company for off season conditioning that really builds these kids... Granted, I know this happens in other schools as well, I've just never witnessed anything like this on this level before...
I’m sure the 4 that got caught were the only ones doing it.Clemson didn’t get the memo..
And with that are they pushing supplements? When I was in an administrator I would open the building to lift and shoot baskets. Better than the streets even in the small towns. The one I didn't like, probably because I know so little about them, were the supplements. I would see a kid (dad was the coach for one year under me) walk down the hall with his powder.

So we need to recruit the Chinese? There's a 15 year old Chinese kid somewhere that can probably squat around that same weight at half the size. Hell look at Rondale Moore...came in as a true freshman squatting 600 at 180 pounds. The internet has really helped a lot of people unlock their potential when it comes to weight training.

Totally untapped resource for football. So we need to recruit the Chinese?
He must not be working hard enough because he definitely doesn’t look homeless.
Ok, most guys neglect the lower body though. Is Mo getting strong enough to break more tackles? He must not be working hard enough because he definitely doesn’t look homeless.
I'm sure Duval's program properly addresses lower body strength.Ok, most guys neglect the lower body though. Is Mo getting strong enough to break more tackles?
Right. In case you missed the thousand tweets of guys doing squats.I'm sure Duval's program properly addresses lower body strength.
The right kind of weird though. The hell? Mo is one weird cat.

We need a few weirdos. The hell? Mo is one weird cat.
And they will agree...dudes had roommates stick needles in their butts...they weren't hiding it. I'm sure all the big schools did it but we MAY have done it better, more consistently, or just more. The # of players we had who had anger issues was pretty astounding.Say that to Christian peters or Aaron Taylor
Boyd Epley was famous in body building circles before he ever became a strength coach. That conversation is believable if it happened under Riley, sad to say.Yeah, I would guess the conversation went something like this..
M. Washington: "Hey coach, I really don't need to work on my lower body, so I'm just going to focus on all upper-body lifts."
Duval: "OK, if you think you don't need any work on your lower body, I'm on board. Sounds like a great plan. Off you go."
