William Johnson

I had heard this was going to happen. Still very strange if you ask me.

Its two fold: He's likely going to be ineligible next season. At UAB they can take a partial qualifier since they won't be playing football until 2017. Secondly, Nebraska is allegedly very happy with the current state of their returning linebackers, their redshirt and true freshmen linebackers, and their incoming linebackers. They also seem to think theyre going to add 2 more HS LB commits.

Damn Banker. Should have told him to study more.

Yeah, anytime you see a decommit from a traditional power to commit to a school like UAB you should immediately look at grades. 9 out of 10 times your going to find your answer.

Actually it's the complete opposite of suck. He was offered in spring when the thought was we needed a juco linebacker. Young, Webber, Newby and a couple redshirting guys stepped up big and we don't really need one now. Expecially not one that is a qualification risk.
If he was good enough to start, then it does suck.

Hope it works best for him and we find another LB that is as good or better to fill that scholly

Tough loss on a talented kid but still not too worried. Trent Bray will do his thing with whoever he has and whoever he gets.
