I am presenting a reason why the transfer portal is horrible for the NCAA and more importantly the athletes. This is not a now generation thing, this has been goin on since the beginning of time. Your family and friends have a slanted view on who you are as a player, because their fans.
Everyone who cares about you has a slanted view on your ability, because they like/love you. So when your not playing, guess what, everyone's telling you, you're getting screwed. So they leave and it appears very few transfer come out better. I know there are examples but, I am talking lately. Most land in obscurity.
I look at some one like Marquel Dismuke. His leadership and putting his head down for 3-4 years. He seems to a fine human and providing excellent leadership.
