First and foremost, I have no inside info. That being said, Keith Williams will not be leaving anytime soon. I come to this conclusion by looking at his career path. This is a guy that has coached in some very under the radar programs for a long time. With his coaching ability and personality im convinced he did this out of loyalty, rather than lack of ambition. You do not blow up on the scene like this out of nowhere. I believe he had other opportunities to leave for better jobs before, but values relationships and family at a premium.
He now has the opportunity to blaze a path never before treked. Other than Johnny Rogers and Irving Fryar we have no wideout history whatsoever. He has the opportunity to smash through a stereotype that Bill Callahan only dreamed of. That stereotype being? Nebraska will never have great receivers or be able to recruit them. Not only will he bust this wall down, I'm giddy to see what he can do with truly elite talent.
Keith Williams is a dream assistant for a program. An elite recruiter that can coach his ass off, and will. Those guys are almost impossible to find. Zack Smith= great recruiter but mediocre coach. Keith Williams = Bauce
