Who has Michigan played?

Colorado's QB got injured and Wisconsin started a freshman on the road at QB. and still only lost 14-7. I think OSU is the better team.

Regardless those are 2 pretty good wins.. Bucknuts wins on the road against OU and now Wisconsin are worthy of the #2 ranking.

Still coming down to those two who wins the East the question is who slips up before they play?

Most Michigan fans understand that in order for our team to jump tOSU, in the polls and perception wise, we need to beat them first.

What is you opinion of Wisconsin's ability to run vs OSU as compared to Michigan? Th reason I put Michigan at the top of the BIG is they physically handled Wisky's running game, where OSU had some problems. Wisky wasn't dominant, but did have some success.

As in nearly every college football season, there are teams that look to be worthy of being ranked number one, or at least in the top three, who won't have the same consideration by season's end. Is Michigan or OSU in that category? Only time will tell.

As far as Michigan jumping OSU and being ranked number two? As a Buckeye fan nothing in the National Rankings could make me happier at this point of the season.

...As many teams as Nebraska.

The Wolverines are playing some of the best Defense in the nation right now.

If Michigan wins out and goes 13-0 they certainly deserve a berth in the playoff.

Right now this is still Alabama's sand box an we are just playing in it but I'm confident that these things will work themselves out.

Go Blue!

Michigan was going to beat Colorado even if Sefo Liufau hadn't gotten hurt. Buffs were leading when Liufau went down, but the momentum had shifted and CU didn't have the horses to stay with Michigan for four quarters. Buffs are much-improved and they're putting together a good season, but they are not on Michigan's level.

My opinion is that Michigan has a better defense right now. They have a ton of talent on D but so does Michigan and they have nowhere close to our experience. My questions on if we can beat them have to do with O...especially QB...

If you want a more analytic answer...Michigan has a bigger, stronger and more disciplined front 8. Two things:

1) I didn't say faster but interms of track spread it is close...in terms of playing speed Michigan is faster right now because of experience (especially use of hands to create leverage) and play recognition

2) I said front 8....not 4...they don't have our depth and they don't have multiple parts to play situational football...this is where their early defections to the NFL and injuries (we got our two injured guys back) hurt them

Not really; UM beat a dang good Wisconsin team & there's nothing wrong with saying that. It's okay to say Wisconsin, without taking a shot at Nebraska.
This whole thread could be more construed as a shot at Michigan's schedule than my reply about playing 6 games like Nebraska which was quite neutral as to the quality of those opponents.

Perhaps you are looking to take offense where none was stated or intended.

Go Blue!

Perhaps you forgot this is a Husker board. My response gave MU props; no offense was taken on my side.

They definitely will get a spot in the playoff. Michigan is playing great D. OSU is the only real remaining hurdle. Just can't slip up, but I just don't see Harbaugh letting that happen.

Michigan is allowing opponents to convert only 12% of their 3rd downs. That's a number I've never seen before. That is incredible, regardless of competition.

Actually, Michigan kncked the Colorado QB out of the game with over 20+ hits on him. That is different then the QB sustaining a fluke injury.

Moreover, if you actually watched the games, you would know that Michigan dominated Wisconsin but missed 3 chip shot FG's. Michigan held Wisconsin to under 170 total yards, while Wisconsin had over 400 yards against OSU.

Michigan is for real and IMO they are pretty evenly matched with OSU. There will be a LOT of talent on the field in that matchup.

The thing that struck me about OSU is their speed on defense.

I think Michigan has looked pretty good this year. I expect the game in Columbus at the end of the year will be yuuuuuge.

I want whoever the West representative is to look like they belong on the same field with the East winner. Wisconsin has at least proven they can put up some resistance. I hope we see the same when we go to Columbus. I have Big Championship tickets and would love to see NU but am going regardless and at least hope to see a competitive game.

Yeah, it was really sad how the Big Ten East Champ was so dominant vs. the West last season in the regular season and the league title game.
