Penn State

I'm planning on going to the Oregon game, been on my bucket list since they scheduled the home and away, of course I had every intention to be in Nashville to watch the Huskers play Tennessee until the Vols asked to delay the series till 2016-2017:mad:.

Usually go to the Gopher game because of rival relatives but the Oregon game takes preference this year.

Planning on going to Eugene in September too! I wonder if serving duck is banned up there?

6-10 of us are heading up to Eugene.

Leaving (flying) Tuesday night for Tacoma and will stay there until Friday. Friday morning we'll drive down to Eugene, stay till Saturday then leave for Portland sometime that night so we can fly out Sunday morning.

Very excited about this trip!

I was planning on Illinois, but my wife is due the week after and doesn't want to risk being 2 hours from home that close to her due date. So, no game for me this year. :(

We were discussing Oregon at one time...and then possibly Penn St...it's not looking like either one is a go

Leaving for Oregon on Thursday morning enjoy Eugene and Spring field before the Game on Saturday heading back to Omaha on Sunday nice 4
day trip.

Was going to do Oregon but figured out that the game likely will not start before 5:00 PM Pacific Time which puts the end around 8:30 PM, didn't really want to drive 100 miles back to Portland at night and possibly meet up with some wildlife roaming the freeway in the dark. So we canned that game then planned the Illinois game until a friend told us he was getting married on the 30th so that went out the window. Now we're going to Minnesota, and praying to the hockey gods that the Minnesota Wild have a home game the night before in St. Paul so we can make it a doubleheader that weekend.

About 8 of us will be going to Illinois. Went to NW last 2 games and Minny 2 years ago. Hoping to see a Sea of Red in Champagne, IL. GBR

Am I seeing the Illinois game right...it's on a Friday? Sept. 29. Maybe I knew that once but had a brain cramp.

Yes the Illinois game is on Friday, September 29th. Part of the Big Ten's insane idea of placing some games on Friday nights. Hopefully we never have a Friday night game in Lincoln but I have a feeling that the Colorado game on September 8th, 2018 may end up there.

Since the Pac 12 has the rights to this game on FOX if I had to put money on it the game will be a 5:00 PM pacific time Kickoff just like our game in Pasadena in 2012. Portland is about a 2 hour drive north of Eugene-Springfield.

Minnesota is a great away trip. Big city has plenty of hotels, motels available it is not like Lincoln or Iowa City college towns. Plenty to do and places to eat.

I think Eichorst will be smart enough not to have a home Game on Friday night just away B1G games.

Yeah driving 2 hours to Portland on Saturday night is going to stink, but our flight leaves Portland around 8am. I'd rather get Portland late at night so we're not chancing a breakdown Sunday morning at 5am....

Since we're making this a 5-day trip it's no biggie to us leaving Eugene late Saturday night.

Been to MSP multiple times as a Wild (NHL Hockey) season ticket holder which is why I said we're praying to the hockey gods that the Wild have a home game on Friday night before the Husker/Gopher game. Also my best friend graduated from law school at U of M two years ago and is now practicing in NYC.

Going to everything except the game at Pedo State. Terrible seats way up in the end zone for visiting fans there.

Hoping the Wild are home in Minnesota that weekend. Going to the Monday night game in Green Bay at the start of that week as I'm in Wisconsin that week for business. Vikings are out of town though.

Gophers are at Oregon state the same day we are in Eugene. May try to see both if for some reason the times work out.

Catching the Gopher/ Beavers game would be awesome, but I'm afraid it would be cutting it to thin.

Surprised more people on this forum would be going to Eugene. Of course Autzen stadium only holds 55,000.

Oregon. Visiting family in Richland, WA earlier in the week then heading to Portland Friday and driving down and back for the game. Could have gotten tix through UNL but they are usually low in the EZ (crappy seats). Decided to take my chances with SeatGeek week of. If the cost is outrageous I will get a single and leave Mrs HW at the hotel.

Define low in EZ seats (down low)

Never been to Autzen stadium but have received tickets threw UN ticket office and they were fine but down lower behind the Husker sideline.

Tickets face value will be around 100-125 range.

I got NU/Washington (Seattle) and was in row two behind the goal posts. Washington has a 440 yard track around the field, so I was 20 yards behind the goal post. All I could see of the game was when the action was between the goal line and the 20, which didn't a lot since Nebraska's scores were those long TMart runs. I got UNL tickets to Nebraska's last UCLA game in the Rose Bowl, same thing, low in the EZ, I couldn't see squat. In both cases I saw a NU visitor section higher above the 5 yard line, sort of like where our visitor section is. I figured NU sold those tickets to people who have donation points.

Thanks, I sat up high in Seattle both times so we had no problem seeing the game just a unbelievable walk up the studuim stairs the last time we were there but had good sets around the 35 yard line.

Had by buddy get the tickets last time in Pasadena for the UCLA game and we had great seats up higher we could even see the San Gabriel mountains, but I also sat low in the corner in the Rose Bowl for the National title game against Miami and it sucked big time so I know what you mean when it comes to the Rose Bowl, it is one of the worse places to watch a game if you sit down low in that stadium you have to be up higher in that stadium to enjoy the experience.

Went to the Miami NC game as well. Bought my tickets from Cal Berkeley's allotment. Each PAC 10 school got an allotment and nobody from Cal wanted to travel to SoCal to watch NU vs. Miami. I just called their ticket office. Good seats midway up on the 40. The one thing I will remember besides the butt kicking showing a talent gap similar to the Tenn game last December was the Miami fans sitting all around me. Nice enough people, but man, could they drink.
