Could tOSU & Clemson be (also) secretly talking with the $EC as of this post?
How can you be absolutely sure they aren't?
$EC doesn't mind an 18 team megaconference because (more) $ talks.
It may not be just Clemson as well.
It could be tOSU & Umich or P-State.
It could be Clemson & F-State.
Now that you already saw what happened with Mad Cow & Covered Wagon you cannot rule out anything anymore.
What say Corn.
:) or :(?

Why would they leave? I doubt osu is going to go to the SEC due to academics alone.

It took a pandemic to keep the news on Oklahoma and Texas quiet.

Expanding into more is likely unlikely. Never say never, but at some point, tough to keep all things quiet.

The Commish of the SEC is good, but is he that good?

Wimp Sanderson was candid about both newbies heading to the SEC.

Texas has brand. But, they aren't very good.

Perfect time to get Texas and Oklahoma, in the midst of a major pandemic.

Notre Dame isn't headed to SEC. The ACC, Big Ten and Pac 12 aren't imploding.

The Big 12 will likely be heading that direction, unless a fun conference prevails, which seems challenging at best.

Do we see West Virginia and Notre Dame end up making the ACC larger?

Don't call us corn. Disrespectful.

If you put all the best teams in one conference, then the national championship playoff loses its appeal. Could have something like Alabama vs. Washington state and Virginia tech vs ok stat in the 4 team playoff. I would think you want talent spread around the nation to have a better chance of getting into the playoff.

More likely the playoff is expanded to 8 and 5 of those teams are from the sec.
