Playing and beating a undefeated and highly rated Iowa squad should help boost Nebraska to a better bowl game despite having 6 or 7 wins overall. Hopefully.

If you think Nebraska will run the table, you want them to lose so you can still win the division. If not it is probably best to have teams ranked as high as possible when we play them. But come on, no one wants Iowa to win football games, ever.

I still hold out hope that Nebraska can get in the mix for a division championship. So with that as my basis (and should be everyone else's basis, in my opinion), you need to hope for everyone in the division (specifically Wisconsin) to lose games. Best hope is that Nebraska would finish the conference with 2 losses and get in by a tie breaker. Even if the tie breaker goes against the Huskers, a late season charge of going clean (one can hope, right?) will do plenty toward a good bowl game, regardless of Iowa does.

I hate having to figure out tie breakers and other components to a schedules win/loss record. Give me the old days when you wanted all your opponents to be undefeated till you kicked their teeth in. Then they could go back to their winning ways after a crisp Saturday fall afternoon ass kicking at Memorial stadium. :)

Iowa's starting RB, LT, RT, WR, TE, and DE are all out vs Northwestern this week. I don't think we make it to Lincoln undefeated.

Even with that cupcake schedule -- and we are one of the cupcakes -- Ferentz will find ways to lose a few.

if you want iowa to be undefeated when you play that means you want them to go to b10 championship game. at that point they would have the west wrapped up

Need Iowa to lose to NW and Badgers to lose 2 more. Illinois will lose a couple more. Win out and we're good! Not too much to ask for right! Ha

Boy you ARE living in the past, aren't you??

Just substitute "bowl game" for "playoffs".

I hear all this talk on BTN about the new Kirk and stuff - I just dont see it - they were outgained by Wi by almost a 100 yards - every game will be like all the others they have "Coud go either way"

I say they lose 2 maybe 3 confer games this year

They also outgained Wisconsin point wise, so yardage didn't matter. We actually were able to score some points against them, and we still lost.
Wins come in many forms.
