As I stated after the blocked kick debacles, Hohl is legit. They weren't on him. The freshman has a legit leg. 56 yarder on the road. Money.
One game our kicker makes kicks. RelaxBetter than way too negative.
He hasn't missed in a couple of games. He's solid. 56 yard made field goal on the road. Yeah you'll pound your chest the first time he misses. Good for you.One game our kicker makes kicks. Relax
I was shocked but this is the first time he's hit outside 30 yards. He hasn't missed in a couple of games. He's solid. 56 yard made field goal on the road. Yeah you'll pound your chest the first time he misses. Good for you.
Correct. But we should expect it as well.Of all the encouraging developments today as we play four winnable November games, having a kicker is huge.

I bet you wanted him out in one game of missing them. One game our kicker makes kicks. Relax
he’s a freshman. People clamored about Illini kicking a 50+ earlier in the year. Once one of our kickers does it it’s just expected.I was shocked but this is the first time he's hit outside 30 yards.
Hard to say. Hohl is at Nebraska because of his performance at a kicking camp/contest long before he met Henry. How much credit goes to Henry and his coaching?
Right now that is true. I'm not sure if Alvano will ever be the same after his surgery. An extended period of time off from kicking would probably be a good thing for Alvano. He needs to let the tissue just rest.I said it a couple weeks ago, if Hohl and Alvano are our only options, you roll with Hohl. He should’ve just locked that up.
Agreed. Even if healthy, the only chances he should be given to turn a corner should be in garbage time or a Hohl injury.Right now that is true. He played with his injury last fall too so I'm not going to totally discount his ability. His injury is just a nagging deal and it's not his fault. I can't even imagine having groin surgery then trying to kick even months afterwards. He's tried to work through it and I hope he eventually gets back to normal and the form he showed before he tore it. People on this board are too critical of injured kids.Agreed.
