Got a huge win over CU that went on to win 9 games and also stopped a 10 year skid to Wisconsin. As a bonus we kept it close vs Ohio State. Those are the highlights of the season they are better than recent years.
There is no bonus in quality losses.Got a huge win over CU that went on to win 9 games and also stopped a 10 year skid to Wisconsin. As a bonus we kept it close vs Ohio State. Those are the highlights of the season they are better than recent years.
Well, I guess that’s progress. I remember some family members who are Iowa State fans that made similar comments like this several years back, so I guess that’s something to be moving in their direction.Got a huge win over CU that went on to win 9 games and also stopped a 10 year skid to Wisconsin. Sure there is. We are desperate for bright spots. There is no bonus in quality losses.
It’s who we are anymore. I hung on far too long to the idea that we’d be really good again.Well, I guess that’s progress. I remember some family members who are Iowa State fans that made similar comments like this several years back, so I guess that’s something to be moving in their direction.
Kept it close vs Ohio State? Even Scott Frost kept it close vs. Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Michigan in the same season. It’s the same story every year. Sports are pain.Got a huge win over CU that went on to win 9 games and also stopped a 10 year skid to Wisconsin. As a bonus we kept it close vs Ohio State. I know. And the same issues we’ve had since 2017-18 cost of wins. But try to feel good about beating CU. And finally beating Wisconsin6-6. Any worse would have been obvious pitchforks. Barely met my worst case preseason minimum expectations. Yay!
I am with you. It’s who we are anymore. I hung on far too long to the idea that we’d be really good again.
Remember back in the day ... free shoes university? Remember Auburn ( I think it was them, someone correct me) giving 250,000 to a QBs preacher dad ? Didn't Bush give back his Heisman Trophy ?
What I'm getting at, is it used to be the naked cheaters could stockpile talent because they had no shame. Certain schools cheated their way to glory and dared the NCAA to do something. Of course the only thing the NCAA ever did was ignore the cheating and then give SMU the death penalty to show how serious they were.
My point is the scotus legalized buying players. That used to be the sole province of the SEC and a few other schools.
NOW EVERY SCHOOL gets to wallow in filth. It levels the playing field. Look at Michigan (and Washington), from champion to chump in 12 months.
Huskers will be in the playoffs sooner than later.

Quantum mechanics clearly states that the Kennesaw State Owls will be in the playoffs later rather than sooner. Its mathematically impossible for any team to be in the playoffs later than sooner.
I think we get a MAC teamIt'll be interesting to see who our bowl opponent is. I'm hoping it will be a bigger name than either Colorado or Wisconsin, and if we win THAT game will be our best W of the year.
CU would beat Iowa by 28.Pains me to say it, but Shadeur was right, the CU game was our superbowl. The feel-good from that win is offset by watching the trajectory of their team and ours since September. That win kind of feels like an anomaly at this point. We can make fun of the strength of the Big 12 all we want, but hard to imagine the Buffs couldn't have outscored a team as inept offensively as Iowa.
IDK...the same CU team that lost by 16 to Kansas?.....Kansas ran for 330 yards on CU....Travis hit the heisman pose when his team gave up 520 yards LOLCU would beat Iowa by 28.
