Probably has more to do with his Oline class than it does his nephew.I hope he’s able to maintain this ranking moving forward without the help of 5* relatives
Being listed as the lead recruiter for the best player in the country isn’t buoying this ranking?Probably has more to do with his Oline class than it does his nephew.
Pretty sure the is the highest oline recruiting ranking we have ever had. I didn't know 5* nephew was gonna be on the line.I hope he’s able to maintain this ranking moving forward without the help of 5* relatives

I didn't see that he was listed as the lead recruiter. No doubt that makes a big difference.Being listed as the lead recruiter for the best player in the country isn’t buoying this ranking?
Okay.
Donnie did his job landing DR. It’s why he was retained and awesome work.
I look forward to seeing what he does with his group
Rhule having Donnie work in a perpetual contract year tells me all I need to knowI didn't see that he was listed as the lead recruiter. No doubt that makes a big difference.
Either way, he has certainly exceeded the expectations of many husker fans. He was retained because Rhule valued him as an oline coach. DR proved Rhule right. The line got better throughout the year, he delivered a great oline class, and his nephew. Pretty impressive.

It really wasn’t obvious by your previous posts. But glad you are pleased. We all should be pleased. He’s the lead recruiter for DR. Hence this ranking.
I’m pleased with all he’s done this offseason. Obviously.
Well, it’s the offseason, so the stakes are much lower and words like “winners” and “losers” take on a much more subjective propertyIt really wasn’t obvious by your previous posts. But glad you are pleased. We all should be pleased.
The bigger question is how long will you be pleased?
You're ... back.Well, it’s the offseason, so the stakes are much lower and words like “winners” and “losers” take on a much more subjective property
If the OL coach’s work helps us improve on the only stat that truly matters (wins), it will continue to please me
YesYou're ... back.
I didn't even know you were back until I read the comments on this thread. Not that it matters, but I did just take you out of the Ignore Hopper, and am hoping YOU can keep yourself out of it. Welcome back.I hope he’s able to maintain this ranking moving forward without the help of 5* relatives

What about the other high rated players in his position group?Being listed as the lead recruiter for the best player in the country isn’t buoying this ranking?

You missed my 20-8 run against the spread during bowl seasonI didn't even know you were back until I read the comments on this thread. Not that it matters, but I did just take you out of the Ignore Hopper, and am hoping YOU can keep yourself out of it. Welcome back.
Not a big deal kong, I'm a big boy I can make my own selections. Been doing so for 58 years. You missed my 20-8 run against the spread during bowl season

I’m in. I just need a reminder in the fall. Not a big deal kong, I'm a big boy I can make my own selections. Been doing so for 58 years.
How was my suggestion of hedging your 7/1 Washington v. Michigan to mitigate a potential and realized loss?
That's the voice of 50+ years of wagering. 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
I did like your picks when I was playing the $ 50.00 3-4-5 team parlays by a group of board posters, until it petered out.
I felt the potential for a breakout was there but we had a couple guys drop out, so at some point, I just discontinued it.
I know you made a lot of hay last year with Toledo, and I haven't checked my spreadsheet to see which others you did well with, I'm sure you know. Both scarlet and Tuco were very good as well for the overall time we did it.
Like I said last season, Tennessee, K State, Penn St were very strong to cover the week after a loss. I only lost 1 personal parlay when one of them failed. Even that shit team Buffalo covered because the situation said they had to cover.
I'd like to do that for the room next year if the guys want to: yourself, Tuco, scarlet as the first three and then each week I was adding another poster to that group. I wanted to include the guys who were consistent posters and give them a shot at contributing. It wasn't about the token $ 50.00 week, it was intended to get others involved. If they won, the room won. I felt if you guys could get on a real roll, other members could ride your coattails to making some money.
I was told by one of the members, don't remember who, that it couldn't/or highly unlikely not be done playing only multi-team parlays, I proved that it could. I netted a +650% profit doing just that, and expect to be better next year.
They’re good to have and I hope they actually turn into good players but add them up and they don’t garner this placementWhat about the other high rated players in his position group?
It takes a tremendous amount of effort on my part to Ignore, then Unignore someone.... Takes 2 seconds.Wait..you can ignore and then un-ignore people?
This is a post board...who the heck would put in that much effort???
I have never even seen the ignore button! It takes a tremendous amount of effort on my part to Ignore, then Unignore someone.... Takes 2 seconds.
False. 2011 & 2005 rated higher and that’s just off the top of my head. I’m sure 1985 and many more years higher. Our O-Line recruits in 2024 isn’t all stars like 2011.Pretty sure the is the highest oline recruiting ranking we have ever had. I didn't know 5* nephew was gonna be on the line.
Tuco, you are always gonna be in.I’m in. I just need a reminder in the fall.
Just a flat $ 50.00 to cover for each of those 28 games would net you + $ 600.00. I am a firm believer in standard plays, because as soon as you think one team/horse can't lose, they do, and that depletes your bankroll. Steady as she goes. You missed my 20-8 run against the spread during bowl season

Agreed. This is a great look. The petty bickering is dumb. I don’t think his O-line performed well last year, but he secured a program changing player and improved talent on the OL. There is a reason coach Rhule kept him around, and was proved incredibly correct thus far.

Not trying to take away from Donnie. He’s a good recruiter. A really good one. But you are wrong.
Donnie has had 1 good class, which is 1 more than I’ve produced and a fantastic signOff the top of your head may not be the best way to go.
It has been reported in several places that this is the second best OLine class at Nebraska in the era.
I am excited to see what these guys can do. You are right, Donnie is a really good recruiter. Now we will see how well he does on the coaching side of things with these talented players coming in.
