I think many here are over-estimating the impact RG's pot use will have on his career. The NFL doesn't REALLY care about pot use, as evidenced by the testing protocol. Players are tested for pot ONCE during the off-season and then not at all during the season. A very significant portion of the league's players smoke pot during the season as a form of pain management and stress relief. The fact that the NFL does not test during the season would suggest that, at the very least, NFL teams are ambivalent about pot use by their players.
Yes, the failed test is going to impact RG's draft stock and it does add a certain amount of risk to drafting him. However, there are plenty of "weed guys" that have gone on to have very productive careers. Hopefully RG can learn from this and know when (and when it's not) okay to smoke pot.
