Wandale Robinson

The story gets waaay weirder, and I'm not joking, but I've had a couple shots of Fireball shots and washed em down with some Bud Light's so I'm gonna go get a bite to eat and stop posting....

I will say this, there is such a serious lack of talent in certain places, that these things can sometimes get patched-back up.

But if one is in SoFL or SoCal or the NE or NW, move on, grab one's dignity, and go find someone else. Plenty of fish in the sea.

Plus, these mutts know they're in a target-rich environment. Men are banging down their doors all day long. That sucks, especially for those that have to deal with it. No wonder everyone back in my home state is married straight outta college. It's the only time to bag em'.

Wow, crazy article right there, that expains how SEC recruits. Self regulatory policy doesn't work when your talking about the SEC and coaches like Urban Meyer.

The coaches don't know about the bag men or probably who the bad men are. I imagine their quite a few layers between the bag men and the coach. Kentucky's offense is very bad. I hope thousands doesn't prevent Robinson from getting millions. I want both Robinsons. That would be huge.

Which subject are you talking about?

So... I havent had time over the weekend to follow this thread, with family in town and a funeral for my nephew; its been pretty all over the place.

About to head back to Lincoln after a long weekend... can I get a TL;DR before I fall asleep?

This is probably not a good sign:

It has been said that this is a strategic move by the Nebraska staff. They are sending their best recruiter in first to talk to him and then if that goes well, they will send the whole staff in to see him in the next couple weeks. Frost only gets 1 in home with him and they don't want to waste it. I guess Stoops already used his in home with him this week.

Do people have a problem with handlers paying 5k-10k-15k to college football players? Scott Frost makes nearly $14000 a day. I have no problem with a kid getting a nice car out of the deal considering he helps provide thousands of jobs. If NU runs out of great football players a lot of people are out of money. I mean MLS soccer has a pay scale where the star might make 2 million and a bench player makes 30k a year. I see CF as a similar situation. A guy like AM made our team watchable, all the other guys had success because of that one guy...he isn't getting paid but he is the type of talent that deserves it. It doesn't even need to be legalized or standardized just make sure the program has no connections ot it. It is no different than a fan base selling out every game, some fan bases are better at providing for their players than others, and we become part of the winning product. Bama is very sophisticated in how it pays its players. For example, many boosters have high positions in casinos, and they will provide "full" electronic cards to the kids to cash out at casinos. Kid goes in to gamble, and walks out a winner.

I have no problem with kids getting paid, I think they should, you're missing the point. I have a problem with Alabama and the SEC paying players while Nebraska does not since we strictly follow the rules, unlike Bama, the SEC, and the Urban Meyer's.

Glad I’m not the only one chuckling. That’s a shitty deal...paying some dude to basically bang the old lady.
Look at you guys just assuming the counselor was a dude and not a chick.
According to a Nate Clous tweet to me.... he thinks Frost will go in home closer to the early signing day in December
hopefully the night before so we get the last pitch.

Not sure if Sean C radio is live or recorded, but early this morning both he and Rosey were saying that Coach Frost and staff visiting tonight.
Not saying I necessarily believe them. People need to get on the same page.

Herpes and marriage counseling aside, I can't remember the last time we won a recruiting battle that had any kind of controversy built in.

Hopefully we can on this one.

So I moved back to the Midwest out of college, horrible career decision on my part in hindsight, anyways I bring this witch back from Hawaii, kick her to the curb, she gets herpes and goes buck wild, now she has like 6 or 7 kids with a devout Catholic and in hindsight, I am sitting pretty.

She was a great piece of tail though, I'll give her that...

Moral of the story. People get what they deserve, when they decide to stick it out with idiots.

I wonder what she's thinking

If it was a chick he wouldn't be mad

Outside of the five large I spent to try and fix the marriage, I was never actually mad about the affair. Marriage was over, he did me a favor and my ex got quite the scare from the herpes thing and for all I know, she contracted it, I just don't know. But at the very least she was scared shitless because they were away on a trip together when her mom finally got ahold of her to tell her about his ex's visit to my doorstep, and it was then she found out about the herpes, and she drove home immediately that night from wherever they were, and ended things...Oh, did I mention he had been married 7-8 times previously and somehow that never came up either, I also informed her mom of that as well when I broke the herpes news.....weird story to say the least.....and I'm gonna keep the best part in my back pocket, for now.

...anyone else see the irony in a marriage counselor that failed at it at least 7 times prior???

A marriage counselor that has been married 7-8 times? That makes as much sense for a struggling marriage as the Catholic marriage classes we had to take before marriage with a priest with whom can never get married.

Ha! My goodness dude. Nobody is going to ever mistake you for the sharpest tool in the shed.

You have us all hooked. Now you've given us the cliffhanger that you are keeping the best part in your pocket....for now. ...
Tune in next week...,...

Only here can the subject change quicker than the weather. It also comes with the negative comments about 17-18 year boys and their decision making. Seems to be some pretty good examples of adult decision making that is less than stellar.;)

I have a feeling that Wandale flips but it will not be known until the December signing date. May flip to us or somebody else but he’s gonna flip

I wonder what she's thinking

She's too busy dealing with kids, which is what she wanted in the first place.

I have enough trouble taking care of myself, never wanted kids, and am thankful to this day we split.

Moral of the Story: Try and figure out what you really want at a young age. I find the happiest people were pretty mature and knew what they wanted early in life.

Glad to see the "marriage was over" part of this story. Sometimes it's comical on the way out, sometimes tragic, sometimes both.

In hindsight, I hope you walked away with a sense of dignity and a firm feeling of her failings as a partner. That's straight-up garbage she pulled. The one thing I hoped for you was you didn't take her back.

In this day and age, we have housekeepers, we have porn, it's all good! (JK).

I am married now and my wife and I share a lot in common, we don't cheat, and we spend quality time together and don't have any "baggage" like the shit you went through. At least you bring some levity to the situation.

I can GUARANTEE YOU, every poster on this board has a similar story, wife or girlfriend. EVERY poster.

Thanks for sharing, I hope it gives you some satisfaction in knowing you aren't alone, and she is/was a real dirtbag in that relationship. Glad you moved on. GBR

I knew my ex for 30 years...for 28 or more of them she was awesome, but she screwed up at the end, it happens, but we would be divorced today with or without her romp with the counselor. It was just bad for her because it will forever stick with her, but the fact is she was a great wife for a long time and a great mom.

Sometimes, people just grow apart, and everything after that is "the reason why."

You bring great perspective to a bad situation. My Dad, a great businessman and lawyer in Nebraska once told me..."Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction." And that guy saw it all, over his career.

He won't go to ul with or without Brohm. He's headed to UK where his girlfriend attends. His family wants him close to home.
