Just saw it for the first time this morning, wtf is that? An awkward little kid running into a shack, the narrator saying Nebraska isn’t for everyone? I honestly thought it was a joke at first
Haven't seen it, OP, much less know who YOU are.Just saw it for the first time this morning, wtf is that? An awkward little kid running into a shack, the narrator saying Nebraska isn’t for everyone? I honestly thought it was a joke at first
Seriously. Is there anywhere in the state that resembles this? There's nothing good about that. Whomever thought that ad campaign up should be fired.
I'd bet the whole thing was shot in NebraskaSeriously. Is there anywhere in the state that resembles this?
Probably, but that doesn’t make it any less absurdI'd bet the whole thing was shot in Nebraska
Probably same people that thought bud light was a good ideaThere's nothing good about that. Whomever thought that ad campaign up should be fired.
I hear it's not for everyoneI’m starting to think, besides busker football, Nebraska might not be for me
DisagreeIt should be a quick few clips of....
1. Henry Doorly Zoo
2. Lincoln Haymarket / Omaha Old Market
3. Memorial Stadium for a football game
4. Chimney Rock / SAC Museum
5. Sandhills joy ride
6. I still think most outsiders would enjoy Mahoney State Park and things around it.
All in all, it should be a quick commercial
Isn’t this what the tunnel walk video looks/looked likeIt should be a quick few clips of....

All in all, it should be a quick commercial. At least our state didn't shutdown during Covid like some other more popular states did.
I just saw an ad for the New York Times that said “you can only understand chewing gum once you realize how much if it is on our streets.”
So, at least we’re not dead last in this category
You are so right. From a tourism standpoint, Nebraska is just a place that people stop on the way to Colorado or Yellowstone. It should be marketed as such...basically as a place for you to get a warm up to your outdoor activities before you get to the higher elevation in the mountains.
To be fair there is probably a correlation between attractive TV ads and having something worth visiting. Most state tourism ads don't make sense to me. Not many are as bad as Nebraska's creepy kid ad, but Missouri's "you can all me Mo" campaign is almost as bad. Kansas and Iowa tourism ads are also dull AF.
North Dakota and South Dakota at least seem to know how to produce attractive TV ads that emphasize scenery and wide open spaces. If you're going to buy ads in big, crowded population centers, those will at least get some attention.
Certainly is that. But this is supposed to be marketing, not quirky. It's quirky. I like it.
Kayso... It's fulla kids like that one in Jerry Maguire?? Then they run rampant... Still children of the corn happening ou'dere? God blessem. An I can see why it ain't for everyone... We all got our own problems
Yep. N isn't too smart when it comes to selling the state. Pretty dumb to even air shit like that! And I love Lincoln but we do put some dumb commercials out thereJust saw it for the first time this morning, wtf is that? An awkward little kid running into a shack, the narrator saying Nebraska isn’t for everyone? I honestly thought it was a joke at first
