Very sad day in Husker nation. Irving Fryar to Jail

I say keep you opinions to yourself here. Hes human like any of us are and he makes mistakes as well. Im sure made a mistakr here and it he did he will do his time or pay his due in someway. Till all the facts are out and until he gets his day in jail, how about we set back and see what happens with an open mind?

Nice. You advised withholding opinions then immediately offered an opinion.

The jury decided all the pertinent facts in August - all the evidence is public Keep an open mind until he "gets his day in jail". Not sure if serious.

Hmmm, i admit i never clicked the link and see if this already went to court or not. I just see to many people jump the gun and assume every one is guilt before they get there day in court.

And yes, i threw my opinion in there in a positive manner, figured i should since the rest was jumping the gun in the hang him deal without giving hin a shot

Genius. Chastise people for jumping the gun yet you jumped the gun in assuming you knew what the article was about.
If this article was about an ex-hurricane or sooner, you'd be singing a different tune. Doesn't get a pass for being a douche just because he wore the N.

It makes this tiny little segment of Husker Nation not the slightest bit sad to see a felon be sentenced to jail time.

What's sad is that Irving I don't think is smart enough to have knowingly tried to commit fraud let alone know that what he was doing was illegal. Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law but he would be an easy guy to persuade that a business prop was 100% legit. Dumber than a box of rocks.

This is a guy that played what, 15 years or so in the NFL and he needs to steal/defraud? Even if he lost or blew all of his contract money doesn't he get a nice pension? I also don't buy the theory that he was too dumb to know what he was doing was illegal.

Irv had more than his share of problems in college and then well into his NFL career. They were well documented. About 1/2 wat thru his NFL he cleaned himself up and for many years became a well respected individual, and not just with his ministry.
Sad indeed.

He was found guilty, so that does change things.
Now me defending someone doesnt make me stupid, a pot head or anyone bad. Im simply someone who does NOT judge someone because i have made my own mistakes, like Jesus said, let the first person who has not sin threw the first stone. I assume the rest of you guys have never sinned or made a mistake?

After the first stone is launched it's open season.

I think he clearly knew what he was doing, but I don't understand how he thought he could avoid getting caught.

You're right, but your English & typing skills do.

Great logic you $@&$. Just cuz he's a Husker you're not supposed to talk about it?!?! The public made him millions. I'll say whatever I want.

Thats funny, im doing this on a cheap, old smart phone. Its a tiny screen, got big fingures and dont always see whats hit. Thats all that is. Go ahead, make youself feel better hammering away on me, at least i can defend myself on here unlike some others you guys hammer on here.

And no, not just because hes a Husker my friend (sorry i cant call you a name), im a christian who believes we all screw up and my bad, i guess im stupid, an ass and all that because i wont judge someone else when they screw up. Im just simply not God.
