No no no. No more assistants who haven't won anything as head coaches. Stoops, Kelley, or Miles in that order or it's a bust.
If you are serious about winning, go throw a lot of money at Gundy. He has flirted with leaving before.

His offense would not be allowed here. Lee Miles is MAYBE the best thing right now.
Doubt he or many other big name coaches would take the job, that's been proven out before in the past 15 years.
I can't believe it but I agree with you, get a winner - and spare me the Les Miles sentiment. Oregon state fans warned us about Riley, go ask LSU fans about Miles as a coach and LISTEN
Miles is getting up there plus he is a horrible in game coach. He would be an upgrade from Riley, but I would prefer to go another route.
Only thing Boone Pickens ( might be spelled wrong) would only up the annie to keep him at Okla St.
We don't need another geriatric has-been looking to pad his retirement fund.

Would David Shaw come for a pile of cash?
Mike Gundy would come. Pickens and Gundy have a very rocky relationship and Mike hates his influence. Here is Pickens less than a year ago.

I would love David Shaw but not a chance he'd leave Stanford for Nebraska. He's already making $4 million/year.
He would be an excellent choice but don't see him coming to the fish bowl in Lincoln and leaving a comfortable place like Stanford.
We still need to fire our AD.
Nebraska has the funds to pay more than $4 million a year easy. If you want to set at the table with the big boys, start spending the money.
I guess you've forgotten about the national title that Miles won. Miles would be light years ahead of Riley and his misfit profoundly shitty OLine coach. Mike Cavanaugh f'ing sucks huge balls.
Stanford's also his alma mater and has less pressure than Nebraska. He'd be dumb to leave Stanford even if we paid him more.
I play golf with a Okie St grad and he told me Gundy wanted the NU job 3 yrs ago and wants out of Stillwater.
Not that I think MIles is a horrible coach or anything but that national title wasn't much worth bragging about. 2007 was a strange season and LSU lost late in the season and required a miracle to get back in to the picture. That miracle happened and they got in through the back door with a 2 loss team. They played very well in that game but that is one of the worst national title teams I can remember.
I like Les but I've watched enough LSU football to know exactly the type of coach he is. I like his physical style of play and aggressiveness as a coach but his game management skills leave a lot to be desired. They don't call it the Les Miles book of clock management for nothing. Miles will make you scratch a bald spot on to your head one week and have a heart attack the next, his coaching is a roller coaster ride.
Oh and Memorial Stadium doesn't have any grass for him to eat..

Really? I had not heard that he wanted the Nebraska job a few years ago. It would be a smooth transition on Offense and he could keep Diaco to run the D. Just sayin'
Purdue rolling Mizzou, btw. Edit, it's a one TD game now, but Brohm is still turning that thing around fast.
If a change was made, I think Venables is the wrong approach. Go get an innovative offensive coach, imo. Heck, even keep Diaco our D has some young talent and is improving. We have enough talent on offense to score points under a system like Brohm or Gundy run.
Yea I know he won a national championship, have you ever thought why he's up in the broadcast booth and not on the sidelines at a power 5 school? Same thing with Pelini- there's a reason he's at YSU. Hell even his alma mater passed on him twice
It's a battle with him, Mike Holder, and Boone. None of them like each other all would prefer that the other two not be around. Most OSU fans I know think he's gone at least within the next three years.
Gundy also knows the Big 12 is about to implode and there is a chance that OSU will be on the outside with K-State, TT, Iowa St., Baylor, TCU and W. Virginia. (UT, OU, and KU will fare just fine.)
