This is fantastic. This is what the Olympics should be about

Most intelligent people realize that America has its problems but it still is a great place to live your life. Also gives you many opportunities to succeed in whatever you so desire. If you speak out against your country in Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran you will be killed. So whiny entitled athletes or anyone who hates it here. Go to mentioned countries and bad mouth America there. You've got it pretty damn good here so quit your bitching. Or move to Cuba or Venezuela you socialist pukes.

Hard not to love that story!!

Makes me wonder if the malcontents who decided to be selfish SJW's and embarrass our country gave a second thought to the other athlete like this one, who would have had a much larger audience to showcase their talents to, but instead managed to curb America's appetite for watching the games this year. Hope they're happy they managed to ruin it for so many people. Can't help but wonder how much $$$ their stunts cost people like this that could have scored an endorsement deal or three, etc.

The selfish SJWs differ with you in terms of what is embarrassing about the country. And are not particularly interested in listening to you tell them “shut up and (fill in the blank)”. Don’t like it, don’t watch.

You could also take your own advice and if you don’t like what is being written don’t read and don’t respond.

Or you can read and respond and others can complain about the things they don’t like as well.

A few idiots ruined what could have been a lot of people's biggest moment, and cost them $$$. Interesting you don't care about those people, many of whom were minorities you claim to care about.

I saw a black lawyer on Fox being interviewed who you'd think would be on the side of the SJW's on this issue. I'll paraphrase what he said .. "Exactly who are the oppressed people in this country you speak of, first and last names please" ...and ...."If you want to bring attention to social issues that are important to you then fine, come back home and hold a press conference and see who shows up, the Olympics was not the place"....Loved it.

I don't follow the USWNT really closely. Does anyone?

But, from what I see it is Rapinoe that is really out spoken and what is driving people to not like the team. Are others on the team as out spoken?

I just don't get hating on the entire team because one person.

Agreed but the USW Soccer team is loaded with sanctimonious individuals that have all the answers. Therein lies the problem.
It is very easy to grab the spotlight and bitch about things. The problem is that their protests have been counterproductive for their team and their own lives.

Would pay to read or listen to all the athletes, esoecially the minoroties, when asked how they feel about the distrations and ratings disaster a few of their fellow Olympians caused, and the dollars lost. You just know that would be delicious. Of course the left would rain down hellfire on them so we won't get it...but I can dream right?

Here is where you are wrong about most of the malcontents. None of them have the answers and none of them want to find the answer, they want someone else to do it so they can keep bitching.

Listen I get it, there are a lot of things wrong in our country right now, but the misguided focus on certain issues is confusing and disheartening. There are some many other places around this world where these athletes could focus their anger for "discrimination". The Middle East, SE Asia, Africa, Russia, China just to name a few. But hey, lets keep pounding away at the freest country in the world.

I have already called him out on vaccines and masks. He ignores those things.
I started wearing a mask to shop very early in the pandemic. Here's a link to a non-egghead aricle from nature - https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02801-8
Everyone that can get a vaccine should get a vaccine and I support all vaccine mandates. Those are coming from private orgs. I eagerly await for the announcement that proof of vaccination is required for entry into Memorial and other B1G stadiums, sans legit exceptions.

Wasn't your home girl Pelosi just saying a matter of a year ago that no American should be forced to be vaxxed? For a person who just says don't worry about other people so much, not sure why you are so worried about the choice of those who chose not to be vaxxed??? Puzzling....

Sorry, forgot these. I am not ignoring masks and vaccines. I am pro-mask and will don one again if the need unfortunately arises. I am pro-vaccine and very much pro having bars, restaurants, stadiums, schools, etc require vaccines.
Hold up. Aren't you, and people like you (Bigot65) the one's beating your chests and gnashing your teeth about those who haven't been vaccinated?

If the left wonders why some are hesitant to get vaxed just play the clips of the liberal idiots like Kamala saying I wouldn't be comfortable getting a shot from the Trump administration. Now that dummy is in the White House you must get a shot Asafp. Are they so stupid they don't see the hypocrisy? I guess being a politician they are used to it. Pathetic.

No govt can force a citizen (outside of the military) to take the vaccine. However, schools have been requiring certain vaccines for attendance for as long as my kids have attended. I have had to get some shots over the years to travel. I certainly hope that businesses and other private entities (such as the NFL, NBA, major college sports) step up and require vaccines to enter their premises.

Of course the liberal idiot was talking about Trump's (eventually failed) attempt to mau mau the FDA into approving the vaccine, not the vaccine itself.

Why? And if you think masks help, why not always wear one? Are you waiting for someone to tell you what to do, like a dependent and lost child? Are you capable of making these decisions on your own? Seriously, this is a real question to you and those who think like you do; if masks work well to prevent the spread of something that may be harmful to another, why would you not always wear a mask?

And should a vaccine, even if it only has a 1% chance of minimizing or preventing the flu, be required by all institutions?

Couldn’t have said it better…. About this board…..
I beg to differ. This board has many patriots who attribute their opinions to common sense and a strong love of the nation and anyone who disagrees even slightly is a far left, idiot socialist bastard who should leave the country immediately.

I'm not wearing one now, but I see people who do. After the pandemic, the use of masks can be used to lessen the number of flu cases. Just as Covid spreads through asymptomatics, so does the flu. It would be helpful if folks who have family members ill with the flu wear a mask when they are indoors in crowded situations.

If he doesn't always wear one I wonder why he would risk the lives of people who cannot get the vaccine and those children under 12 yrs old?
Masks only matter when you are within a close proximity to those people. If they are 25 miles away from you, you don't have to wear a mask.

If cases were to substantially rise in WV, I will begin to wear a mask. If I think I've been exposed, I'll get a test.

Good gravy, can you answer the answer the question? IF you think the masks work, why does it take the government to tell you to wear the mask before you will do it? You WANT the masks and vaccines to be required, and you will be a good soldier and wear one IF you are told to do so by the government. If you genuinely care about your fellow Americans, just wear the mask, period. I take it if the government mandated that everyone always had to wear a mask because there is some chance it will help prevent the spread of the flu, you would gleefully endorse it. Amiright? And what about the vaccine question. Should every American be required by the government to take a flu vaccine because there is a chance, even if only a small chance, that it will prevent just one more person on the planet from getting sick with the flu?

Focus on my questions when you answer.

Why wait for them to "substantially" rise? Isn't the point to prevent it from ever happening? You said it yourself, you could be asymptomatic, with no knowledge that you could be spreading it. Isn't the answer to ALWAYS wear a mask, since they work so well? And what is "substantially?" Who decides when it is "substantial?"
