Update 11:52 am
I just received a message back from South Alabama center Joe Scelfo that said "I'm pretty positive I'm going to NC State."
When we talked earlier today he thought it was going to be a couple of days before he knew this much, so something happened in the last hour to really speed up his decision process towards NC State.
Original update
There is definitely a mutual interest from both Joe Scelfo and Nebraska at this point on becoming a graduate transfer, but all of this has just kind of happened. He's going to give it a couple days to think about his options before making any definitive statements about his options. Multiple teams have made contact with him.
He did have a lot of great things to say though about his time in Lincoln for the game this fall with South Alabama. He really liked Mike Riley and said during pre-game they talked for a few minutes at midfield and he was very friendly. He was also complimentary of the Nebraska fans and how they were very classy towards the visiting team. He was amazed how many people stayed in the stadium to the very end. He's looking to get into a graduate program somewhere in business and sports management.
