Josh Lamberson leaving UNK after just 2 season...He compiled a 1-21 record in his 2 seasons and had recently been offered a 3 year extension Eek

UNK has really struggled in football since the move from the Rocky Mountain Conference. They need to start spending more money on football. Of course they're going to have to raise a lot more money before they can spend more.

Joining the HC who left NW Missouri St after they won back to back NC's

Lamberson and his staff were pretty good dudes, but I don't think he was a good head coach. My son went there on a visit and liked the coaches but got a bad vibe for some reason and left pretty unimpressed. I think they brought in a recruiting class of about 72 last spring. If UNK wants to get serious about sports they need to start spending some money to keep up. I don't even think they offer the max amount of scholarships that a D2 school can offer.

They are closing in on scholarships. He offered 72 kids little money but transfers more. He was getting 2nd tier class A talent compared to a NW Missouri State. He also didn't visit Kearney High or the local schools around the area who had some players who were worthy of looking at. He should have at least went to see Urbanek and the big lineman. It wouldn't have hurt. They should look at Jamrog or someone like O'boyle who was at Chadron.
