Crossing state lines in the form of an asshole. What law did he break?
What law did he break?
Heard he isn’t with them anyway..I think he placed about 500 wagers on sports...many of them as an underage person...and on his own team he was plating for. Fred should leave him over there.
You've got to be 21 or older to place a sports bet in Iowa. But here's the deal... how many guys does anybody know who were convicted of placing an illegal sports bet? If you said zero, you are correct. As of a couple years ago, nobody in the U.S. had been charged and convicted of that. Could that change? Sure, I suppose. What law did he break?

The real thing for him to worry about is betting on his school's games, which he did. Allegedly I guess, but it's kinda obvious. The penalty for that is NCAA ineligibility. But alas, this is a new era so maybe he'll just get a couple games.

Under $20 a bet. Way to downplay an athlete's wrong doing, Robin W. Once again.Rules, not laws. He won't go to jail for gambling, but if he bet on Iowa games, he could be banned from playing NCAA basketball.
Tip of the iceberg. Might as well get used to it. Gambling was rampant on campus during my day 40-plus years ago. With it being legal now, and with college students being college students, this is going to happen continually.Nice of him to bring his Iowa crap. What an idiot. Did he seriously think it wouldn’t come back and bite him? And yes, I realize he hasn’t been convicted of anything. But I’m sure Fred won’t wait for that to happen. He has already stained our program enough.
Iowa turned him in after he transferred....maybe
