UConn RB Nathan Carter is in the transfer portal. Carter rushed for 405 yards on 65 carries (6.2 yards per attempt) and one TD in 4 games this year prior to a season-ending shoulder injury. The sophomore has racked up 983 yards on 190 carries (5.2 per attempt) and 3 TDs in 17 career games.
Carter was huge for the Huskies when he was available this season and was one of the top RBs in the country stats-wise before going down early against Michigan. Carter ranked third in the country in rushing yards (384) and was second among all running backs with at least 50 carries in yards per carry (6.5) before suffering a separated shoulder after six carries against the Wolverines.
There are going to be several guys to monitor under the Huskers' new coaching staff. Carter is one of them as I could see him following former UConn RBs coach E.J. Barthel to Nebraska.
