UCF DC to be new DB Coach

Mid 30s former db for scar. From Atlanta. Short-term coaching stops in Tenn, AL, Scar, Florida. Not deep ties to Florida, but has been there since 2021.

Rising through the ranks so likely won't be around long, but that is ok. Looks like a good hire to me.

Hoping he has some good southeastern recruiting connections 🤞🏼

I am already drinking next year’s koolaid. Rhule had predicted a real breakthrough for next year. I agree with that. I think we are going to fill most of our needs nicely via the portal. I also think we have raised the quality of our coaches on BOTH sides of the ball. A week ago I wasn’t so sure about our defensive hires. But the more I get to know these guys the more I like them. Good riddance to Satt and White.

This staff is going to have A LOT of experience. Your DB coach is a former DC. Your OC is a former HC at several P4 schools, DC has 10 years of NFL experience...

Once Snow is on board, this is going to be a seriously experienced staff.
I will say I was down on Rhule after giving that Iowa game away. But he has managed the staff changes pretty nicely. He does appear more serious about winning here than any coach since Bo.

IIRC he also said year two here would be like year three at his previous gigs. Instead, it seems like we are, in some ways, in year 7 of Frost: a lot of almost but not quite. Unlike Frost though he's not sitting pat in the off-season. Looking at future schedules, next year is about as favorable as we are going to see for a while. In 2026 we will face four teams in the playoffs this year plus Illinois and Iowa.

Anything less than 9 wins next year will be a colossal failure.

Snow wants to be at least half retired. We would be in a world of hurt if he is a full-time DC. That means things went incredibly wrong.
Yep!

Snow realized that being retired is boring...but working "full time" also sucks. So right now, he is just sort of checking things out.
