Tyron Johnson

Maybe since Les sent his boy to play for DONU, he will be kind enough to send this young man our way too.

I don't want to sound dumb but at some point do we say we have enough elite talent at WR?

It's an amazing problem to have such high interest at a position, but do we risk pissing off players if they can't be the star?

Maybe it's normal at schools who throw a lot to have so many talented receivers. I'm just naive because Nebraska has never had this level of interest from that position.

I think it's a position where there are a lot of talented kids. Since there is such a large pool, we should strive to get some of the best. If they don't pan out, there's a pretty good chance there will be strong candidates the next year. There's some MAJOR contributors graduating this year. NU's best interest is to have a very talented young WR corp battle and see who emerges.

Let's not sit here and pretend we have 12 5* kids. We have 2 4* kids who have verbally committed to us. That's it. You never know what will happen with recruiting (the kid who picked L'Ville last second).

You recruit the best you can and don't stop until they are on campus. Then go out a try and recruit an even better kid next year. Goes for every position.

When four stars are on the bench playing backup, that's: A. A good problem to have. B. Usually content for championships. Never enough room for better players to come in.

People here forget MR likes to utilize WR's/slot backs in the running game...jet sweeps, reverses, bubbles screens. Go back and watch the offense he ran at Oregon state. It's far from a prototypical west coast offense. We need a guy like johnson/Lyndsey in the slot. A burner at the slot position wreaks havoc in MR's offense

Thanks f

Thanks for bringing it up ! The coaches spell it out from time to time. Carter made some strategic first downs at the end of the year. Its a way to punish and confuse a D.

Heard WVU, Cal,. Tex tech, KU (hey..just brought in two Bama transfers), Ok St are all involved.

He went to the same high school as Pernell Jefferson. I saw Tanner Lee, who is also from NOLA, is following him on Twitter.
