He was one of the biggest enablers of the entire Frost saga - was in deep with the boosters and covered for Frost and staff with the money people
Sabotaged Trev when he was exploring getting rid of Frost after year 4, again when he was in the process of firing him last year as well as during the coaching search
Like Frost he shouldn’t be allowed anywhere close to the program

And face it...everyone that posts here would listen to his interview or read it or post about it.
In this case...I think you ignore a disgruntled employee until such time you have to address it... if they do something outlandish that demands it. Otherwise it feels like you're poking a bear with a stick to me. Right now it's a nothing burger. Don't help make it into something...at least that's how I feel about it.

But to say we won’t continue to target 5* kids at top of the table programs is very small minded
I believe there is an opportunity here to bolster the perception of NU as a landing place for more Johnsons out there, not all of whom will fizzle so spectacularly
Having guys of his former stature saying we are nothing but empty bags and empty promises potentially hurts. A lot.
Maybe he should do an open and honest interview about why he sucked at OSU and then continued his suckage at Nebraska.

I see where you are coming from but……..Kids are way more savvy these days than they were even 5 years ago. The kids being recruited were elementary age when this dude was a 5 star. They don’t know who he is, other than a dude who didn’t make it. Every HS football player I have ever known would say, meh, that’s his story. Mine will be different.
Also he should be asked why he was a 5 star busts? instead of blaming the schools maybe he should look at himself for not working to become the 5 star he Was rated

I know they keep pushing more and more construction. And I know that every dollar spent on construction is potentially one less spent on NIL.
Do any of you think that a $200MM expansion to the stadium will help us win more football games then maybe a $200MM endowment for NIL would? Problem is the university can’t control a $200MM NIL endowment. Just ask yourself that. Would love to hear some good feedback on this. It’s just something I’ve been kicking around in my head since NIL kicked in. Maybe I’m dead wrong.

Like NPG, it's like when you break up with someone, there's always going to be hard feelings. Also he's probably bitter no better program wants him in the portal.
Not I. I considered Jerry a true American hero. He brought to mainstream TV lowlife people from a larger percentage of America than we are willing to admit.
With NIL, we should probably get used to hearing about disgruntled backups not getting their cut.
