Just watched his Hudl highlights - wow! Great motor and effort, and he plays smart. Nice pickup.
This is reminiscent of when Bill Callahan pulled five guys out of Arizona. All of those dudes could play.
Be sure to check out his Hudl. VERY impressive. Quick first step, power, sheds blocks easily and changes direction, fast and great pursuit to the ballcarrier with bad intentions when he gets there. And as someone mentioned, a very smart player too. He is reacting incredibly fast to the play as it unfolds
Seems to me that these two latest kids out of Texas- the fast RB and the Jones kid have really helped balance out this class immensely. Not only because we were needing to get kids at those two positions, but that these two look like standout recruits.

“Coach Rhule is also a great coach. I like that he hired a coaching staff of a lot of guys he’s actually coached. Family means a lot to him. It’s not about ‘Oh there’s a better coach because we’re losing.’ It’s really about the family. There’s no coach like him. He cares about his players and I know it’s a great fit for me.”
Now a member of Nebraska’s class, Jones said he’s looking forward to chatting up other recruits in the Lone Star State and putting fear into the local schools about the way the Huskers have gone into Texas.
“I see a lot of Texas schools getting worried because a lot of us Texas boys are committing to Nebraska,” Jones said. “That’s really a thing on my visits. Texas schools were worried when I told them I was looking at Nebraska. They said they wanted to keep me in Texas. Guess what a a lot more of the Texas boys are getting out of Texas and headed to Nebraska.”
It’s already become a talked about thing in Texas that Rhule can move mountains or at least among those in the Lone Star State he can create new flight routes.
“Coach Rhule has so much power and so much say so, he’s got a whole airline coming to Lincoln,” Jones said.
Earlier this year the Lincoln airport introduced Go Fly Red as an option at an event that also featured Matt Rhule during the unveiling. Now there’s direct flights into Lincoln from Austin, Dallas and Houston.
Jones thinks it all is going to lead to more players from Texas looking and eventually committing and signing with Nebraska.

Watched 30 seconds and he’s already my favorite recruit.
Give him a year or two of s&c and this guy is going to be a monster. You can’t teach that explosiveness for someone his size.

Even if only partly true (I don't see a lot of the top Texas schools being all that "worried" about Nebraska just yet), this is pretty badass. I knew it was Rhule's plan to try to open up that Texas pipeline, I just under-estimated how effective he would be at it.
He had ridiculous stats while eating double teams. I think this guy is going to be a playa for us.
