That’s a blow to them if they remain in the portal. Potts is a quality RB who was called on often when Ibrahim was not in. Michael Brown Stephens proved to be reliable in the passing game as well. The Potts move is especially surprising to me.
they brought in a RB from Western Mich this year because they don't believe Potts can handle a full workload
I saw that after my post… surprising, as Potts had a season ending injury two seasons ago but last season was solid in a backup role. They certainly know better than I do about his durability.

Potts is a quality back but destined to back up role again. Stephens playing time plummeted as he had several crucial drops late in the season. The Gophers are bringing in 7 WR from recruiting and the portal. Always tough to lose kids, but it appeared playing time was going to be limited for these two.
Well, he can probably handle a normal workload...but PJ thinks that a normal workload should be 100+ carries a game.
I thought this was going to be a joke....2 Minnesota guys enter the portal....yadda yadda yadda
