Darnay Holmes after the video release "No Fly Zone"

Sure hope this means what it appears!

Pretty sure TMart isn't the originator of that comment. ;)
Is your source on this reliable?

Gebbia was offered by Ole Miss last week. His dad played there, and we generally haven't done well recruiting against them. He's far from a lock for us.

Why would gebbia come and sit behind pob for 4 years?

He probably believes he can beat him out and be a four year starter. Guys like Gebbia aren't afraid of competition. Or the exact same answer given every time you ask this.

What team are you a fan of again?

True. Hopefully the NCAA cracks down on them soon.

Ole Miss just received notice of an NCAA investigation into something like 40 possible violations some reported to be serious across 4 sports including football, so there's that.

What do you mean one? Pelini never did recruit a highly regarded QB the 7 years he was here..

Fair enough. But the attitude that Gebbia won't come because of POB is dumb and a thought that never would cross the mind of a fan of a top program. Top kids come to top schools to compete.

Gebbia isnt as impressive as POB...He needs to grow into his body before they can be compared

Darlington was fairly highly thought of before his concussion as was TA for a dual threat guy.

You are right about Darlington before his concussion.... Don't remember TA being a 4* but won a state championship in Tex. I believe.

Gebbia is/probably will be higher rated than POB? I'm not sure. Doesn't really matter. Both are top prospects.

POB has more of a man's build at his age, but that might not mean anything from a QB perspective. Brady is built like a middle aged State Farm agent.

Ive seen both in person and am glad we are in Gebbia's final 5 but his competition and surrounding cast made his job a little easier than what POB had to deal with. Hope he grows into his body a bit

He's probably going to have some time. Unless an extraordinary situation, freshman rarely come in and start. All these guys freaking out about stacking QB's are forgetting that POB might see some mop up duty next year, and Gebbia will probably redshirt with POB and Lee around. They'll each have their chances to hold a clipboard and a couple years in the sun.

Gebbia doesn't have to be "primed" for quite some time.

I agree, there's just no way KJJ spends this much time in Lincoln, helps us recruit to the Huskers and then brings his buddies to Lincoln this much, basically investing time and money him self already into the Husker program just to commit to say....Clemson? I just don't see that happening. Gebbia and Holmes might commit else wheres but not Keshawn Johnson Jr.

From here on out, I will have the same response for yorocco to all his posts...

What makes you think he would sit? I think it would be good competition for POB. This is going back, but Berringer and Frazier were two good QB's? There wouldn't be a drop off of any sort with either of them if one or the other wasn't able to go during a game.

Jamal Turner was a 4-star QB (believe it or not), as was Brion Carnes, as was Cody Green. Johnny Stanton was in the Elite-11 competition. Probably the highest regarded of them all was Bubba Starling.
The problem wasn't that none of them were "highly regarded", the problem is that none of them panned out at QB for Nebraska.

I still felt Cody Green should have gotten the nod as our starting QB over Taylor. I remember there was that tight battle between the 2 that off season and Taylor got the nod and I believe it was because of his legs, not his arm. I think Green would of tore it up passing the ball. He had a great arm.

Pretty sure anyone who watched Cody play at Tulsa would disagree with you.
