Getting ready to take off for my first Iowa / Nebraska game experience in person. Ira going to be crazy cold but I’m excited to see the Huskers in a rowdy Kinnick night game.

Should have a confident squad going into Iowa and feeling so good with DH on staff. Hopefully we can force a fumble or two - Iowa hasn’t been bullet proof in their 1 score games but I think our offense will move the ball.

Preseason picks I had Huskers at 8-4 but said we would beat both Colorado and Iowa. Hopefully the 2nd part of the prediction comes to reality tonight! GBR! Bring all the trophies home!

Well… frustrating.

Stadium - Kinnick had a lot of red there today. It was awesome at the start of the 4th quarter you could hear the Husker fans start taking over the stadium before the Iowa faithful got their act together.

Fans were cool - there was one guy on literally the first play he was telling us to sit down. This can happen at all stadiums but it’s like “dude stand up”. But overall I would say fans were kind but not necessarily welcoming if that makes sense.

Game notes -
D played out of their mind with the exception of one play - where Caleb Johnson took on half our defense and somehow pulled a Tommie Frazier and escaped. So frustrating.

Special teams - KKKirk just waits for us to screw up - which is why he didn’t go for it on 4th and 1 at midfield in the first half. What do we do? Couldn’t handle a punt and the defense bailed them out to hold them to a field goal - but that play breathed life into a dead stadium.

We snap the freaking ball into the dirt again. We can blame it on the cold, but it was cold for the hawks too.

Can Neyor just catch a ball? DR couldn’t have thrown a better ball.

KKKirk gets the last laugh … again. Dang it’s frustrating.

All in all - had an enjoyable game with my family and had great seats and after the first half I thought I was going to be able walk out of the stadium beaming. But after literal domination of the game … to walk out with yet another loss - heartbreaking.
