Tristan Gebbia

I don't know, I'm not his mom.

Tacos are a versatile food that, depending on size, can be served as an appetizer or main course.

Gebbia, Johnson Jr, McQuitty.

For some reason, my mind is saying I read somewhere there's a fourth. Gosh dang mind, it's late for this old man.

Is he going to enroll starting classes in January?
As long as we keep Ron Prince away from him. When I thought about the coaches burning POB's shirt last night, I oddly thought of Harrison Beck. Then i though of how back then, we had Freeman committed coming in early that year and how similar things kind of are. I highly doubt TG pulls a JF but that what first came to mind

Beck's RS got pulled super late in the season I know, I just don't remember exactly where in the season it was but it saved the day. I want to say it was the last game or second to last? IDK, I just remember it as really late. I agreed 100% with it at the time, like I do now for POB. Who the heck knows what 3 years down the road holds for us. Everything I just said only applies if TA is out for more than one game though, otherwise, scratch all that.

What saved the day in that game was the roughing the passer penalty against Beck on 3rd and long... Beck did absolutely nothing of note in that game that I recall. And the fact they never played him again was a bad deal as well. If you pull the shirt then get him in the game. But that was the only drive he participated in that season as I recall.

Im torn on playing POB... if he could help us it would be hard to say no, but only if he gets more than just 1 game. Then, like you say, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Beck completed a pass late to convert a first down. We would have lost that game without that pass. Not sure if it was a 3rd or 4th down, but he did it and we'd have lost without it.

It was game 10 of 11 in the regular season. Beck went 1 for 6. The only meaningful pass he ever threw as a Husker.

Good call... my memory is faulty. He did complete the pass to Nate Swift for 21 yards... On that same play he was roughed, moving the ball even closer. Sorry for doubting you. I honestly didn't remember him completing a pass.

Beck hit that pass and I believe Congdon hit the kick. He was the most excited I had been about a QB recruit in a long time. He ended up somewhere in NC. Fyfe = Bauserman

Real glad to hear Gebbia will be here in January. I think pretty highly of him, and you never know what will happen.

They should probably just let Armstrong and Fyfe ride out the rest of the season as senior quarterbacks.

If you want to put POB in, then you have to make the wholesale change now, meaning you are starting him here on out for the rest of the season.

That could make for a big problem come next spring, and it gives some level of indication that you are only toying with POB if Tanner is named the starter for 2017.

If Fyfe starts stinking things up again, I'd rather them put Zach Darlington in.

Heck, Zach might just be our best chance of getting to 10-2 anyways. I would have no problems with them handing him the keys for the rest of the year due to the senior class overall suckage at that position.

The more I think about it, the more I like it. Play Zach. At least we would have a real QB back there with legit D1 talent.

And then they refused to let Congdon even attempt kicks near that distance ever again, which was truly bizarre.

Gebbia is a baller. He just needs to get stronger and more weight put in him. That'll happen under this staff for sure, I'm not worried about that.

I hope to see Darlington Saturday night too. He can do more within the offense. He just can't throw it deep. Keep him tossing short routes and use a lot of reverses and misdirection. Fyfe can bomb it but he doesn't hit his receivers.

I do really respect Fyfe and all he has provided as a back up. I honestly didn't mean any disrespect to him. Just a really poor showing and a crappy situation to be put in to for him.
