As a proud Gross Catholic alumni, today I will be traveling to the Holy Land (Lincoln) to attend Coach Van Haute's wedding - Gross Catholic's recently hired head coach who will be coaching his first season this Fall. Coach Van Haute is a great football coach and a great American hero.
The reason for this post is to let all the high school football fans on this board know that a storm is brewing in South Omaha. A storm cloud over 42nd and Margo streets to be precise. In time, Coach Van Haute's cougars will wreak havoc on Class B. His passing attack will rain down with the awe of a hundred Tom Brady's and his defense's tackles will be heard from the classrooms of St. Bernadette.
As the saying goes - behind every great man is an even greater woman. The same is true for Coach Van Haute and his lovely bride Mrs. Mallory Van Haute.
