Trevor Lawrence

I don't and I think he's slightly overrated. But this kind of mindset is why he is successful. I don't think it does any good for some of these players to skip out on their last year of college football and wait for the NFL.
Lol. I would ask who isn’t overrated in your eyes. I don’t think anyone measures up in your eyes.

A slightly overrated player doesn’t beat Bama as a true freshman in the national championship game. We’d be lucky to get someone of his level in the next decade.

They really should allow teams to decide if they want to play or not play. Let them opt in or opt out. And if there isn’t enough teams in said conference, then make a super conference this one year and divide the money up in the end between the teams that play. It’s kind of BS a committee is making choices, it really should be each team’s decision to play or not play during a time like this...just my opinion.

Which ones? I am referring, specifically, to resent good news that, despite dire predictions of the crushing second wave in the states i mentioned, things worked out far better than predicted. Lots of cases, no hospital overrun, bed space is good, no widespread lockdown needed IFR dropping. All good news. Why not follow up with the reality of what happened?
It's going to be very interesting to see what happens a few miles to your north up at Sturgis SD. They estimate over 250,000 people will attend this year's rally. The city council tried to cancel it but locals told them to forget it. They're coming whether you say it's cancelled or not so you better get ready. I think Sturgis on a good day has a population of a couple thousand. We're talking about 250,000 people flooding makeshift bars and campgrounds, sleeping in tents and campers and using portapotties. Yikes. It's a week long drunk with people elbow to elbow in heat and largely inadequate hygiene facilities. Ironically, they did a survey of recent attendees and the vast majority of them were educated professionals trying to escape real life.

I don't think the governor could have stopped it IF she had wanted or tried. People book houses, rooms, camp spots a year in advance and they were going regardless of what any governmental entity said. IF they had closed bars, they would haul out their own booze and have the largest tailgate party ever imagined. That state follows their and the nation's constitutions reverently and any attempt to shut down campgrounds and bars would have quickly been shot down one way or another.

Does Mr. Lawrence specify the way forward?

He doesn’t but even if he did it wouldn’t matter. The head honchos have made up their mind that college football will not be played this fall. The MAC started the domino effect unfortunately and tomorrow will be the B10’s turn to call things off. I just don’t understand why they came out with a stupid schedule two days ago. What has changed in the past 48 hours? So disappointed.

Well...CHAZ apparently had nothing happen...and the hundreds of thousands of peaceful protesters were all fine too...

My guess...Sturgis will be just like that, right?

Couldn't NU follow all of the guidelines and go rogue this fall. Then pay for the Dakota schools to follow the protocols. Go 3-0 and declare NU the national champs.

They won’t my friend. Tomorrow will be a very sad and angry day for us.
Inevitable I'm afraid and one I've predicted for at least 6 weeks. Treating this any differently than the flu was going to lead to this. The crazy protocol for a virus which is less of a problem for college students than the flu was a mistake IMO. It's kept my kid from going back to college. Instead my kid is moving to Nashville with friends to party and do their online classes.o_O Cheap cheap cheap house rentals right now in Nashville.

Just like Mr Luke McCaffrey says....”Just want to play ball”....let the guys play. GBR

These guys are adults. They know the risks which are minimal compared to the physical risk of injury. Their parents are informed and know the story. What we're doing to our youth is disgraceful. It's ludicrous.

What I’ve never liked about the B10 is how they believe they are the “Ivy League” of the power 5, and they will always operate the way the Ivy does. Nights like tonight reminds me that I wish we were still in the B12.

It's seriously becoming embarrassing to be an American.

No national champs at 1-2. Noah Vedral and then Wisky will beat us.

He's a good enough player but if he wants people to take him seriously he really needs to cut his girly hair

Then leave. It's your choice. You can stay in the greatest country in the world with the most opportunity to improve and advance yourself as anywhere in the world or you can just pack your bags and leave.

It's all talk. All of our celebrities threatened to leave in 2016, but I can't recall one who did. They have the means to do it, but know how wonderful this country is. Do we have problems yes, but on the whole the US is a pretty damn good place to live.

I have a unique perspective as my daugter-in-law was raised in a socialist/communist eastern bloc country. She's horrified by what is going on with the protests and appeasement efforts by local governments. She says that's how they took over her birth country.

Actually we can't leave... At least right now no one will take us except Turkey
